Host Todd Weaver welcomes Mr. Tom Ziglar back to the show for a very special conversation. As CEO of Ziglar, Inc., Tom Ziglar shares not only a last name with his father, Zig Ziglar, but he also carries on his philosophy, which is simply, You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. Prior to being named CEO, Tom began his career in retail and direct sales. He joined the Zig Ziglar Corporation in 1987, learning every aspect of the business as he climbed from working in the warehouse, to sales, to seminar promotion, to sales management and then on to leadership. With the Ziglar name, Tom has had a lot to live up to. But rather than try to fill his father’s shoes, Tom has created some of his own! He is boldly taking Ziglar, Inc., into the world of social communities, Twitter, blogs, and live video webcasts to present the tried and true message of hope, integrity and positive thinking to a whole new audience. You can learn more about Tom HERE and follow him on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
We are sincerely excited to have Tom Zigler as our guest ON THE DEAN'S LIST.
Tom is the son of legendary speaker Zig Zigler, an author and speaker in his own right and CEO of Ziglar Inc, the company which his father established. Zig and Tom collaborated on the publication of Zig Ziglar’s final book, Born to Win, in 2011 and it was released to the public in early 2012. The Born to Win philosophy is both “profoundly simple” and “simply profound.”
While the content has remained consistent, the method is ever-changing; as Ziglar’s leader, Tom is positioned to do just that—lead.
When Tom Ziglar walked away from a professional golf career to join his father, Zig Ziglar, in the family business he thought he would eventually regret giving up his dream. Instead, he says, it was replaced with something better. Most people don’t have the opportunity to work for a company where people literally write you a letter and say you changed their life. His father’s sales training and inspirational messages have touched hundreds of thousands of lives for more than half a century. When Zig fell and hit his head, resulting in a brain injury and short-term memory loss, he handed over the day-to-day operations to Tom, who is carrying out his father’s legacy. The elder Ziglar has since passed and is very much missed by his family and the world. Tom says: You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. We don’t tell anybody anything new. It comes right out of the Bible and it’s simple and easy to understand. We give companies and individuals the tools, skills and values they can use to change their personal and professional lives. You can follow Tom on Facebook and Twitter.
