Romance and adventure speak to most of us. Today, popular multi-published author Miralee Ferrell joins Maxine and Jeannie to talk about how persuasive female characters combine the two and still overcome great adversity. As strong women leap from the pages of her contemporary and historical fiction (like Dreaming on Daisies) and into our hearts, we can feel empowered, too. A Horse for Kate releases March 1, 2015 and is suited to young adult readers. www.miraleeferrell.com

As media use continues to explode among children and teens, parents’ concerns about what their children could be uncovering while online increases.
On average, children get their first smartphone at age 12, and research suggests kids and teens are spending more than 7.5 hours a day with their electronic devices and often without a safety net. That’s exactly why Focus on the Family is launching the Odyssey Adventure Club, a safe and fun environment where children can explore, create and imagine, all while developing their faith and learning biblical truth. For less than the cost of a monthly night out at the movie (membership costs $15 per month for up to six users), families will be able to stream the Adventures in Odyssey library, plus listen to exclusive new monthly episodes.
Tonight’s our recap we are just one day away from Christmas Eve sure hope our adventurers can finish their quest in time for Christmas day. For those that might have missed an episode or two we have 19-24 of both Cinnamon Bear and Christmas on the Moon so join us to as find out together if the silver star makes it home and if Santa gets rescued in time to make all his deliveries to the boys and girls.
