Linda McDonald is a Library Specialist  residing in the San Francisco Bay Area and a former radio personality for the nationally syndicated "In the Know" broadcast on the RMG Radio Network. Linda McDonald’s favorite quote is the excerpt from Maya Angelou's book, I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now :“Each of us has the right and the responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead, and those over which we have travelled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising, and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and carry only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment we must be ready to change that as well.” The Perfect Deception is Linda McDonald's first release.

In 2006, Newark Public Schools opened the doors to American History High School, where she was a part of its first class. Being a part of the trial run at the school a loud her to help build the school’s motto and have a voice in what the school’s expectations were. As a freshman, Yara was voted class president.
