    in Current Events

This is the topic of today's show, and Betty is livid that the National Park is being threatened by developers, the Navajo Nation is being split by the offer of billions. Natural resources are being leased to foreign countries. Assignment: tells the stories of America from history, military, politics, social and economic to entertainment - the things you never thought about to the trivia you never knew.

    Live With The Vegas Vampire!

    in Paranormal

The Vegas Vampire was a vampire of late night Shock Theater and Vegas Vampire shows at KHBV/KVVU, Channel 5, in Henderson, Nevada, and broadcast to the greater Las Vegas, Nevada area from the late 1960s through the 1970s.

The Vegas Vampire's show featured grade-“B” horror films, monster films, and science fiction films. The show was aired on Friday nights at 11 p.m

Parker's Vegas Vampire was a popular local celebrity. He traveled the streets of Las Vegas and Henderson in a trademark Hearse, and appeared at many local business openings. For many years he hosted the local segments of the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, and participated in local shows and charity events like the St. Jude's "Nite of Stars" show, and the Clark County Talent Guild's "Stars of Tomorrow" show. So popular was the character that at one point Parker was appointed director of publicity and public relations for TV-5.  One Halloween in the 1990s the Vegas Vampire was invited to return to Vegas' Circus Circus to turn the Grand Slam Canyon (later Adventuredome) ride complex into the Dome of Doom.

    in Spirituality

Please join us tonight, and our guest Susie Kincade, founder of Women’s Empowerment Workshop, and co-facilitator for all retreats. Tonight's topic is Tapping Into Nature as a Powerful Source for Peace, Strength & Connection.

As an aspiring Olympic athlete, Susie was the first woman ever to compete on a men’s NCAA collegiate athletic team, diving for UCLA’s swimming/diving team. She became an advocate for women in sports and an avid outdoor adventurer who understood innately the power of her connection to the natural world. In Vail since 1981, Susie has had a broad Marketing career in corporate, private and non-profit realms. She is a nature-based personal coach, a graduate of Path of the Ceremonial Arts and an Awakening the Dreamer facilitator, as well as a TEDxVailWomen speaker.

Susie co-founded Women’s Empowerment Workshop in 2011, and has developed nature adventure retreats for women and girls of all ages. The mother of four daughters, she is dedicated to helping girls and women in every transition in life discover and deepen their journey. Using nature as both the metaphor and the medium, Susie has created exceptional and highly transformational retreats that are always held close to nature. As a trained ceremonialist, Susie performs ceremonies for any life transition and is a spiritual and life coach.

She balances her industrious work life by hiking in wilderness, rafting wild rivers (she’s rowed her own boat down the Grand Canyon four times), growing a voluminous organic garden and cultivating fantastic adventures in the garden of her life.
