According to Loran's extended Liberian family, Ham, the son of Noah, is the African descendants placed righteously in God's hand and purpose.
There is undisputable proof that the human race originated in Afrika. We now know that all humans can trace their roots to a family in Afrika. We know that the first mother is an african woman. the beautiful black queen is the original woman, the mother and creator of us all. The Black woman, the original Goddess.
Unfortunately, the world has forgotten or denies who we are. WE have forgotten who we are. How does the world see us? How do we see ourselves, Goddess or slave?
The Real Rosewood Foundation, Inc.
The Real Rosewood Foundation was created in 2002 to develop a timeline, expand the search, find lost survivors, and locate descendants – black and white, inviting cultural participation to preserve an important history.
Though it has been ninety-two years since the massacre, the descendants are still in touch with their beginning. Each year in July they celebrate family reunions. They are not angry and do not dwell on the past destruction of their hometown. Choosing to attain higher learning, many have gone on to become educators, doctors, lawyers, engineers, superintendent of schools, and skilled workers. They never lost the work ethics and values instilled in them by their ancestors. A most recent development regarding Rosewood is the interest of white Rosewood descendants in helping protect the history.
This foundation is dedicated to building the Rosewood Black History Preservation and Research Center in memory of the Rosewood survivors and descendants at Mahulda's Archer, Florida homestead. Additionally, the foundation sponsors a scholarship in honor of Mahulda Gussie Brown Carrier, the third Rosewood schoolteacher employed in Levy County. Carrier is the first and only black female principal employed in Levy County and is believed the second black female principal hired in the state of Florida . The foundation is working to produce a documentary recapping real truths by historian Lizzie Jenkins, founder and president of The Real Rosewood Foundation, who is writing her life story which includes how she unlocked the secrets of Rosewood through consistent research. Moreover, the foundation is producing two songs, "Rosewood Florida" and "Rosewood, No More".

This week on The Porch we will be interviewing Christopher Everett, writer and director of the upcoming documentary, Wilmington On Fire.....
WILMINGTON ON FIRE is a feature-length documentary that will give a historical and present day look at the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. The Wilmington Massacre of 1898 was a bloody attack on the African-American community by a heavily armed white mob with the support of the North Carolina Democratic Party on November 10, 1898 in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. It is considered one of the only successful examples of a violent overthrow of an existing government (coup d'etat) and left countless numbers of African-American citizens dead and exiled from the city. This event was the spring board for the white supremacy movement and Jim Crow Segregation throughout the state of North Carolina, and the American South. This incident is barely mentioned and has been omitted from most history books. It was not until 2006, after the North Carolina General Assembly published a report on it, that the tragedy became known to the public. The film features interviews from historians, authors, activists and descendants of the victims of the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. © 2011 Christopher Everett
Be sure to tune in this week as we discuss the next important documentary to drop as we continue unvail how the system of white supremacy sprung new roots from this act of macabre.
When thinking about the history of slavery one tends to think about the abolitionist movement. Generally speaking when we thing about this movement we tend to think about the Quakers and their impact in the USA and perhaps beyond and rightly so.
While it’s true the Quakers did much toward ending slavery I content the abolitionist movement started about the time Jesus of Nazareth ascended into Heaven. Paul’s Epistle to Timothy clearly illustrates the picture of a disdain for owning a human being. Paul explains whey we have the law;
“the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel. (I paraphrase).
This then becomes a clarion call to the world actually that slavery was an abomination to God. That as Christians we can not abide by a person owning another person. This of course was taken seriously by both believers and non believers alike. To the non believer who owned slaves he saw an enemy of his enterprises. To the believer they came to truly understand what Paul meant when he said;
In speaking to the Athenians, Paul stated that God "has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26). We are all descendants of Adam. While we are divided between different nations and languages, we are all the same -- human beings created by the hand of God.
Listen to The Gist of Freedom tonight as we talk with Jennifer Nelson a descendant of the historical black town, Boley OK.
One of the first nationally chartered black-owned banks, Farmers and Merchants Bank in Boley, Oklahoma, an all-black town successfully fended off “Pretty Boy” Floyd’s Bank Robber's Gang!
ON NOVEMBER 23, 1932, three members of Charles A. “Pretty Boy” Floyd’s gang made the worst mistake of their lives. They tried to rob the state’s first nationally chartered black-owned bank Farmers and Merchants Bank in Boley, Ok, an all-black town of proud-walking pioneers.
Up to that point, the Floyd gang had been robbing an average of a bank a week, usually without any resistance.
Gangster Floyd had warned his gang members against robbing the Boley bank because, the people of Boley all had guns, knew how to shoot them and weren't afraid to use them. Photos: Boley Council Members, Boley Bank, SEMINOLE NEGRO INDIAN SCOUTS _
They didn't heed Floyd's warning and Birdwell and Patterson, armed burst into the bank early that morning. announced they were robbing the bank and warned "don't pull no alarm."
The bank's Bookkeeper McCormick, saw the robbers enter. He slipped into the bank's vault, retrieved the rifle and aimed it at Birdwell who was scooping up cash.
At the same time, the Bank's president D.J. Turner, was on duty. He loved Boley and was determined to defend it.
When the alarm began wailing Birdwell hollered, "Did you pull that alarm?" "Sure I did," Turner answered.
Gangster Birdwell shot and Turner fell mortally wounded. McCormick, in turn, shot the second gang member, Birdwell to death.
