Things you don't see in airport terminals anymore. If you can think back to the 50s, 60s, 70s and maybe into the 1980s you wouls see an entirely different terminal than the ones we use today. Go back with us as we discuss these differences. And, do we really miss some of them? I do, and let me tell you why. Please join us with your memories of airpoort terminals during the propeller age and coming into the jet age. See you at the Gate as Flight 235 departs at 7:00 pm ET sharpe.
Questions you've always wanted to ask/know but were too afraid to ask. We'll ask the experts about things we see around airplanes, terminals, and in the air. Join in with your questions and share answers with questions asked. We'll see you at the Gate when Fliight 334 departs at 7:00 pm EST, September 28th. Be on board.
Per DOD: Bottom Line as of May 2015: Per AMC HQ, regarding H.R. 4435 Amendment 15 stating that 100% disabled veterans can fly Space-A, no guidance has been passed down to terminals to allow this. Until the DoD issues a memo incorporating any changes into DoD's Transportation Regulation (DoD 4515.13-R) guidance is passed down, 100% disabled veterans remain ineligible for Space-A.
Lets see if congress will fix this delay.

Today ATP is Live from the Port Authority in NYC
The Port Authority Bus Terminal is the main gateway for interstate buses into Manhattan in New York City. It is owned and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Colloquially called the Port Authority, the bus terminal is located in Midtown at 625 8th Ave between 40th Street and 42nd Street, one block east of the Lincoln Tunnel and one block west of Times Square.
The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey conceives, builds, operates and maintains infrastructure critical to the New York/New Jersey region's trade and transportation network. These facilities include America's busiest airport system, marine terminals and ports, the PATH rail transit system, six tunnels and bridges between New York and New Jersey, the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, and the World Trade Center.
For more than eight decades, the Port Authority has worked to improve the quality of life for the more than 17 million people who live and work in New York and New Jersey - a region that supports 8.6 million jobs with an estimated gross regional product of more than $929 billion.
Hour one: Jerry Burden. Owner of trademarks for WallStreet.com
What’s in a name you may ask? Well when it comes to Domain Names, you could say Everything! If the name of your website domain has recognition, it could literally be virtual gold for the owners.
Hour two: Stratos. Thiago Olson, Co-founder and CEO
Go ahead. Look in your wallet. Credit cards. Loyalty cards. Debit cards. They're all based on magnetic stripe technology from the 1970s. Stratos has created a better card. New technology that works with existing point-of-sale terminals. Technology that helps protect consumers, merchants and banks from fraud. And bottom line, technology that helps everyone make smarter decisions every day. Stratos allows you to combine your plastic cards onto a single, smart card. You can load your credit, debit, loyalty, membership and gift cards onto the Stratos Card and use it anywhere your traditional cards are accepted. Instead of carrying a pocket or wallet full of cards, now you can carry just one – the Stratos Connected Card. It works wherever your other magnetic swipe cards do. If the card is lost or stolen, it automatically locks once it’s away from your phone. No information is displayed on the card, so no one can steal your account numbers or other information. It also works with your mobile phone, you can manage and sync an unlimited number of cards to Stratos Card -- helping you to make smarter and more secure payments.

Mary Beth Stenzel - We provide mobile apps for merchants to increase their sales volume and control advertising with real customers. Our primary attention is merchant services - from equipment to POS to Internet and smart device swipers. I've been in the merchant services and business services sales for almost 10 years. Number 1 agent for the last 2 years and winning cruise for the top agents. Great customer service with our full team. Important news for business owners is Apple Pay and Google Wallet. Along with EMV compliant terminals required by 10/2015.
David Barnett is a 1998 graduate of the Williams School of Business and Economics at Bishop’s University, and a graduate of UNBSJ’s Electronic Commerce Management Program. Barnett is a deal making and small business financing expert.
From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Barnett was a major account representative with the Yellow Pages. This opportunity gave him an insight into the particular challenges of small & medium businesses as he dealt daily with the owners of these companies. In 2005, Mr. Barnett left the publishing industry to start a small business with a partner. Their venture was an immediate success. After opening, operating and building the business, an opportunity to sell presented itself in late 2006.
In 2006, Mr. Barnett began building his professional consulting practice by starting Advantage Liquidity Partners Ltd. ALP Ltd. was a broker of commercial debt solutions for small and medium sized enterprises including commercial mortgages, business loans, factoring facilities, and capital leases. Working with entrepreneurs to build their companies and/or acquire other firms naturally led to the field of business brokerage. Barnett has arranged such financing for over 100 small and medium sized companies.
Last week an oil train carrying explosive Bakken crude derailed and caught fire in Fayette County, West Virginia. Forty-eight hours earlier, on Saturday, an oil train carrying toxic Alberta tar sands derailed and spilled in Ontario, Canada.
Todd Paglia, Forest Ethics executive director, released the following statement:“Oil trains are simply too dangerous for the rails. Whether it is explosive Bakken crude or toxic Alberta tar sands this extreme oil cannot be transported safely by train. Twenty-five million Americans live in the blast zone and nearly everyone else lives downstream of an oil train route.
Matt Krogh is the Director, Extreme Oil Campaign for Forest Ethics
With over 12 years experience in nonprofit work and advocacy, Matt joined ForestEthics in August 2013 to direct a new campaign targeting tar sands on the West Coast of North America, Tar Sands SOS. Most recently as the North Sound Baykeeper at RE Sources for Sustainable Communities in Bellingham, Washington, Matt has spent the last three years fighting against Gateway Pacific and other proposed coal terminals on the West Coast. As a freelancer, he and his father co-authored a book on integrity and principle-based decision making—both critical components of effective advocacy.
Join us for three interviews recorded live at Black Hat 2014 in Las Vegas. Gold and silver are going up on the last day of the month. What a switch from normal slam downs that used to take place on the last trading day of the month. Something different is definitely taking place.
I was in New York City for my sister's wedding this weekend. Apart from the fact that I visit regularly to see my kids, I would prefer to stay away as much as possible. The first signs of deterioration are setting in. LaGuardia Airport is again becoming a homeless shelter. They're taking over the food court and a number of waiting rooms throughout the facility. Mayor Giuliani stopped this practice over a decade ago and Nanny Bloomberg started rolling it back. Now Comrade DeBlasio is intent on making New York's public terminals fullscale shelters and I'm sure he's proud of the effort.
On tonight's show we have an honest discussion regarding the "salt shortage" that occurred this winter. Was there a shortage? Can steps be taken to keep from being in this position again in the future? Join us as we discuss this very important topic with Mike Betts, President of WGS.
Mike started his career in salt with Akzo Nobel where he worked for 8 years. In April 1998 he was asked to take over a salt facility in Fort Wayne Indiana. He formed With a Grain of Salt in June 1999 which of course is known today as WGS. Over the past 14 years he has added terminals in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. This growth has helped WGS to become one of the most respected suppliers to the commercial sector. Mike has developed an outstanding management team that has worked tirelessly to grow the business and develop new ways to move and sell salt. They pride themselves in meeting the needs of the smaller users. Mike is completely passionate about his life in salt and takes great pride in the many ways that WGS adds value to the snow and ice management industry.
