Fantastic Frank, born Frank R. Johnson, is the epitome of perseverance. As a young man, he was a successful chemical engineer and entrepreneur. One day while he was at the height of enjoying success, everything changed irreversibly when he was trapped in a fire, brought out in a body bag and his life changed forever. As a result, he incurred a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). It was necessary for him to re-learn everything; including how to walk and talk. Now he is motivated to inspire millions.
Every day Frank meets his challenges, and is fueled with a passion to help others with his engaging, creative manner which is awe inspiring to everyone he meets.
Some of Fantastic Frank’s significant accomplishments consist of publishing a comic book, “The Young Explorers ©” and as a motivational speaker, he captivates and touches audiences like no other. Professional TBI survivors - Dream Catchers - Les Paul
We usually hear the term professionals in the Brain Injury World only from medical professionals and providers, and agencies that specialize in providing care but tonight we are going to talk about it in a much different approach!
I am saying it’s time to start view us the survivors as professionals and care givers and we all need to have a meeting of the minds in the middle.
As an advocate for social changes for people with TBI and any disabilities and working as a facilitator and support group leader I no longer want to see the us or them approach to survivors and thrives but instead a peer support team of survivors and medical providers saying its nearing 2014 and we are not willing to put up with the lack of needed social and medical model changes for TBI Survivors everywhere around the World and it’s time to take a stand that were not going to take it like that anymore!!!
Power to the people the people with TBI and related disabilities around the World!!!
I would love to see a coming together of us as professional survivors and meet with medical professionals, Brain Injury agencies and association to build the ultimate dynamic duo of a team!!!!
Join me tonight for an Inspiring discussion on Dream Catchers with Les Paul.

Fantastic Frank interviews Paul Ceretto. Paul is honored to have been chosen as one the writers in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Recovering from Traumatic Brain Injuries. Being a victim of “the silent epidemic” himself, this is a topic that is close to his heart. Always eager to bring awareness to the subject, Paul is happy to part of the project.
Paul suffered a TBI in September of 2008 after a lifetime of substance abuse problems. He says that “The brain injury has been my saving grace. Unlike most people who suffer a TBI, it has been a
lifesaver.” Paul believes his life has never been so fulfilling. Since he has been out of the hospital, he has written a book about his TBI and the wonderful people that helped him see a new way. “The therapists and nurses are all my friends now as I communicate with most of them regularly.” Paul operates his own website and is involved in many musical projects with people from around the world. He continues to write and is writing his first novel at this time. Paul continues his education by taking enrichment courses at local colleges. Paul says, “I have allowed the TBI to define me with
its powerful truth.”
Back to basics. I find our TBI-selves "too smart" at times, to directional, to advanced, to authoritive on what we "assume" we know. Uh, in 2008, for several months - I did not even know my name (other than Matt). So, I can only assume, I really didn't, or don't, know much. With as much time I've been spending learning to live again? How could I?
But I have learned an avenue of TBI Recovery, and study TBI Awareness. OK, promote TBI Awareness. Why? From any angle of a brain injury, if you don't at least understand why this world needs awareness, then you must be greatly lost. Help us save the world tonight. Explain just WHAT your TBI is Aware of...
I hope to bring God into the picture tonight as well. Afterall, its Sunday, plus I met a new friend this week. Plus, baseball and racinig IS God's way. TBI Survival? YOU tell me...
Now then, is it August yet? Has anyone seen my vacation? **whistle** "here boy"
(424) 243-9540 and press #1 upon recorded answer. I have a habit of making everyone 'share'; 'hand up' or not...
Tonight, Fantastic Frank, fresh from his appearance in Los Angeles California, is honored to have TBI Survivor Joseph Martin. A survivor of TBI since August 22, 1988. Joseph was assaulted with a baseball bat to the back of my head and striking the sidewalk with the front of his head. He was in a coma for two weeks and was in the hospital for three months. He was living close to Yankee Stadium when it happened. He was taken across to the Bronx, NY to Jacobi Hospital. he was released from Jacobi Rehab on his birthday, Nov 1, 1988.
Joseph went to Burke rehab in White Plains, NY for improvement to his right arm/hand and right leg. It was diagnosed as a stroke at Jacobi. The proper diagnosis is neurological deficits due to TBI. Joseph received the proper treatment which allowed him to go back to work full duty. Joseph works for the New York Fire Department-Emergency Medical Service since 1977. "Being a patient and being treated by my co-workers I found out how it feels to be a patient (on the other end of the stick.)"
Fantastic Frank can be seen all over the world! Please visit his website turndisabilitytoability.com. For motivational speaking engagements, please email Frank at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Dream Catchers - TBI survivor Facts & Myths – Les Paul As a long term AVM, TBI, coma, and other rare medical procedure survivor I learned in the school of hard knocks that my family and I had to take matters into their own hands before I was able to fight for my rights as a person with a disABILITY and for my personal humanity in order to survive it all and it was very hard on my entire Family and especially on me!
I had to fight for my very existence and I glad I had such a strong Family and Mother to help fight for me before I could because it was a long and very hard battle for the destiny and direction of my life and I hope by sharing with others I can help ease the lives of survivors by things I have learned!
Are survivors capable of a taking control of their own lives Are a lot of TBI survivors capable of work Is our government working with us or against us Should Americans with Brain Injuries be considered for employment over non citizens Should Brain Injury agencies and organizations actively seek out and employ people with Brain Injuries Are people with TBI and related disabilities reliable employees Community based living or nursing homes which is best Call (424-243-9540) if you would like to speak to the host durin the show on Dream Catchers with LesPaul.
She's Inspiring and uplifting, fun with an upbeat attitude. She's brings encouragement wrapped in humor, and provide practical tips to KNOCK OUT FEAR that can discourage us, diminish our faith, rob us of hope, and threaten to defeat us as we go through difficult times or a hardship.
Her quote "Fear is a dream killer". The PraiZe & Worship Show welcomes Jana Flaig to the show on this morning.
TMDS, BIRN, TBI Survivors Network, Race4Time, The Brain Injury Association of America, The Brain Injury Association of Indiana, Breathless Performance Racing, John Mills Racing, 'Over The Wall' host Jean Kinser Dana, Dr. Kevin Butterfield, Ernie Francis, "the remarkable" Ernie Ty Francis Jr (Trans Am Champ now, and future NASCAR Champion - I called it) have united to 'form' an auto racing 'team' to promote Brain Injury Awareness (I'll slide Recovery in, eventually...).
TOO COOL, and so needed. The intent is to provide information, discuss TBI with fellow Survivors who literally "banged their head against a wall", bring our everyday Brain Injury Family to the race tracks, meet the drivers and be guests, promote 'Guest Passes' to events for donors, and, well, much much MUCH more. BI Awareness where it needs to be - Racing, of the most popular sports world wide. The NFL can avoid the serious condition with a marketing 'ploy' all they want, but Racin' is the true 'game' across International Date Lines.
Join me tonight, and of course Sam Way, as we sit down with the Francis's and discuss racing, BI's and the future of Awareness. Doc and Jean are expected to join in, and share a lot of good news. Have I mentioned South Africa? Gina Gee is literally prancing around the Cape, awaiting a Skype call in tonight. Me too. She's an Angel of Hope, Mercy and Life. Not as is, but as will be. Uh, my staff of "one" currently has been a bit over worked this week. It's Water Ski time for RHI Sports this week approaching, as is time with Dr. Dawn Neumann and the new IU Interface Program of Imagining Research. Plus, its Father's Day, and Pop and I always go to a baseball game if possible.
So, take me out to the ballgame, and bring me back in time for Racin' tonight.
