NWP welcomes Survivor fan favorite Rupert Boneham!
With his trademark long beard, tie-dyed shirt, and signature victory cry, Rupert is considered by fans to be one of the show's most popular castaways. Rupert is one of the only two contestants to compete 4 times on Survivor. He is also the only contestant to win $1,000,000 via public vote.
In 2004, after working in the Mental Health Field for over 20 years, Rupert founded Rupert’s Kids, a non-profit organization that provides mentoring, vocational training and job placement to young ex-offenders. Survivor Max: Too Smart to Die
Publication Date: February 18, 2014
Meet Max, an 11-year old boy who was stuck in another boring day at school when the lock down alarm went off. They were under quarantine. He escaped and made it home, only to discover he’d have to find a way to survive this plague alone. Little did he know his father, his only parent, was among the infected.
Slow-moving and non-thinking, the "lamebrains" swarmed his apartment complex, hunting survivors to feed their insatiable hunger for living flesh. Now he must rely on his Porcupine Freedom Scouts training, and scarce supplies to survive. A chance discovery reveals his father's research on the virus, which in the right hands may be the key to a cure, but first he must prove that he's too smart to die.

Get an inside feel for the war from the life of a Lebanese War Victim on this episode of Power Up Living.
Aimmee Kodachian is a Middle Eastern woman who authored "Tears of Hope,” her riveting true life story as a young girl. Aimmee lived 13 years through the Lebanese Civil War; she was only 12 years old when a bomb killed her older brother right in front of her. Due to her severe dyslexia and the war, she was forced to leave school at the 4th grade, lost her dream of becoming a teacher and was left with no opportunities or hope.
In 1988, Aimmee took the opportunity to come to the United States and start a new life. After years of persistence and determination, she became a successful entrepreneur. She not only found a way to Rise Above many challenges, she also learned how to see Light through Darkness and now helps others do the same.
Aimmee donates 100% of the profits from “Rise Above” (a song about her life story) and a portion of the proceeds from her “Tears of Hope” book and e-book, to organizations that support victims of war and tragedy.

Michael is the Producer, Director and Emcee for the Five Minute Follies, Philadelphia's only ongoing family friendly vintage variety show.
His interactive one-man show "Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor" will be staged on Sunday, June 29th at 5pm and 7pm at the Adrienne Theater in Philadelphia, as part of the SoLow Festival.
In the show he will be recounting my experiences of childhood sexual abuse, as well as his struggles with recovery and finding peace.
"Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor" will also include breaks where the audience can comment, ask questions, and share their stories. The hope is to open up a frank and productive discussion on the issues surrounding childhood sexual abuse, including ways to help prevent it.
Healing is an ongoing process for Michael. After many unhealthy relationships, he has been fortunate enough to find a significant other who is completely supportive and understanding about all my daily challenges. His wife Kristie has helped to give him the strength to dig through all these awful memories and try and turn them into something that can make a positive impact.
Putting the show together has been a harrowing experience. Digging down to the root of all these experiences, and letting the emotion connected to that root come out, is both terrifying and illuminating. Just by putting together this show, Michael is healing.
Together we are stronger and together we heal. We are not alone.
