SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. Tonight's TOPIC: "CPS and our Family Courts - A Criminal Consortium?" When does abuse of power cross the line into flat out criminal behavior? With precedent setting court cases challenging this criminal enterprise under such statutes as RICO (criminal racketeering), Misfeasance (wrongful exercise of lawful authority) and Malfeasance (legally unjustified/harmful act by a public official) succeeding, and the exposure of Child Trafficking and Abuse by these same agencies, it is very clear who the real criminals are. More frighteningly, they are still operating flagrantly and for the most part without any penalty at all. Tonight we speak with Melissa Deigel, a mother desperate to save her medically kidnapped children who instead, has been threatened and silenced and stripped of her rights, Advocate Malinda Sherwyn, who has both witnessed and stood up for many such parents facing criminal abuses and Advocate and Author Eugenea Couture, whose compelling experience as a child abused in this system gives her a unique insight as to what really happens when CPS steps in to 'protect' children from loving parents.~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to:email@example.com

Often times I hear that Black people(specifically Black Americans/African-Americans) continues to suffer TODAY, because we don't know our culture, being that everything was stripped away from us during slavery. I also hear that slavery CURRENTLY, plays a part in Black men and women socially and economically, I.E. marriage, parenting, unity, support of each other etc. Although slavery(physical sense) has officially been abolished since roughly 1865, do you think it's possible for it to be having an impact? If so, how?
This thinking is interesting because, post-slavery has been some of the most prominent times for Blacks. Families were together, Black businesses were booming, and they were supported by other Blacks, HBCU's were being founded, musical content was more uplifting and empowering, organizations like The Civil Rights, The NAACP, Black Panthers, Women's Suffrage Group etc, were formed. If slavery has that much of an impact on our social and economic status TODAY, why didn't it affect the people of the early 1900's-mid 1900's in the same way?

As soon as my divorce became official a few years back, I took a job working as a television producer that required traveling across the country with the show’s cast and crew. As I interacted with more and more new people for a few days at a time, I formulated a theory: The only way to cleanse my sexual palate of ex-husband residue was to sleep with a total stranger.
I was unwinding at the bar of a cheap, cozy hotel in the middle of America one night when a handsome traveling salesman started flirting with me: The perfectly clichéd opportunity to regain control of my sex life, right? Then I noticed his wedding ring. At the risk of wasting erotic energy, I addressed the issue directly.
“My wife and I have an understanding,” he said.
Upstairs in his hotel room, we stripped off our clothes and attacked each other. We went at it three times in a row, and with each orgasmic round I shed a layer of the post-divorce blues, just as I’d hoped.
The next morning, my healer of a salesman and I woke up to a call from his wife and his guilty tone revealed that his marital “agreement” was probably one-sided. Honestly, though, I didn’t feel bad. I needed to get laid, and I was grateful to be cured.
Join Dr. Angela Lauria of The Author Incubator as the interviews author Julia Roberts on the publishing of her book, Sex, Lies, and Creativity, which is her third book. It's actually an easy-to-read version of her Masters research, stripped of its academic opacity and made to sing, as she put it, For Roberts, it's more important to move the reader than to create an unassailable argument in a labored defensive style of writing. "It just flowed," she said about the writing of the book. "I knew the material and was writing it for the reader."
The best thing to come out of having this book, according to Roberts, was being on Bestseller status ontwo different lists: Creativity & Genius and Women's Studies.
