Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos

    in Culture

Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos is part of (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement which is an umbrella term which covers all of the social groups Mr. Emmanuel Barbee has created online since 1991. Emmanuel Barbee is trying to create a coalition based on his revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” Second Edition. Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos is an online advocacy group to raise public awareness about the atrocities which is taken place in American ghettos or urban communities. Since Emmanuel lacks support from established black organizations in his city he decided to create social groups and promote his revised book in hopes to generating capital so that he can hire 30 qualified individuals to assist him in jump starting his organization in the murder capital of America Chicago.

Since 2001, over 4,000 people has been murdered in Chicago alone and yet no black leader in his city has a plan on how to solve urban violence. For twenty three years Emmanuel vision to improve Urban America has been ignored this is why he decided to make his organization private so that he can focus on those who want to work with him and for those who want and need his services. Through his organization he hopes to form a coalition of religious leaders and human rights organizations in the United States to solve these social conditions one community, one city, and one state at a time. He will only focus on 25 cities within 25 states. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will create a more effective and collective voice by including local residents who are clients or members in the decision making process and who are dedicated in preventing violence.

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1061

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Kristina Pinson from St Louis, Missouri, the National Secretary of the "Knights for the Innocent" non-profit, which seeks to aid all women and children, and to protect and defend the innocent from abuse. They work hand in hand with law enforcement but once they receive a call they send out a response team. The focus is primarily on Domestic Abuse, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse. They are also available to help and support with other issues but this is the main focus. Because of this activity, dealing with individuals and providing response teams can result in danger to everyone involved. The Knights will be taking an active role, and once they receive a call they'll send out a response team. The team must be of 2 or more individuals for safety. Background checks are done of all member / volunteers. The background check is required because the Knights are looking to make sure that individuals becoming members do not have any felonies for issues the group stands against. This includes, sexual assault, domestic abuse, etc. Group leader William Warren recently said, "We have a lot of good people in this group doing some great things. We're still growing but at a now slower rate, and that is good [because it] gives us a chance to catch up on some things." He goes on, "If we stay focused on why we are here, and what we want to do, we will make this work!"

    Only Time for Well Doing

    in Religion

Once a destination is set, all that remains is to arrive, by whatever mode of transport that can be used.

Earthly transport toward heaven is accomplished by a man taking on the tasks left, by God, for him to do, and to be found at the last yet performing that work.

There is no time for fatigue, nor for deviation; indeed, there may be no time at all, for he knows not at what hour his Lord shall come...

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1052

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Robert Carey from Los Angeles, an abuse survivor who grew up on the south side Chicago. He was first abused when he was about four years old in a one-time incident that involved three much older kids. Bob feels this experience set him for other, later abuse because it made him aware of sex and sexuality. His parents divorced when he was about six. Bob reports, "My dad's friend had a teenage son [who] began molesting me when I was about seven. That continued until I was about 12 or 13, when I finally found a way to put an end to it myself." At 15 he was abused yet again, this time by his uncle's wife. "She was 28 and in my teenage mind, at the time I thought that it was an actual relationship. I thought that we were in love and we were somehow going to run off and have a life together." He goes on, "None of the sexual abuse that was done to me was ever violent." The remainder of his childhood and his early adulthood was spent feeling that he had been some sort of an equal participant. "The primary feelings that I can remember were guilt, shame and fear." Bob lived in constant dread that one of his secrets would be exposed and that it would ruin his life. "It wasn't until I was in my early 30s and had adopted my daughters that I was finally able to recognize that what had been done to me as a kid was sexual abuse. I still carried around a lot of guilt and feelings of responsibility until a couple years ago." Now in his mid 40s Bob is a very happy husband and a very proud father. He's done a lot of work on himself, studied about these issues and has made the most of his experience. "I am ALMOST a doctor of forensic psychology. I have dedicated the rest of my career to helping other survivors to heal and doing what I can to help prevent any future child abuse.

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1051

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Barry Goldstein from Teaneck, NJ, a returning NAASCA family member who's an expert in Domestic Violence and issues of child abuse. Barry shares. "I was blessed with a happy and safe childhood, but I was the victim of retaliation by the NY Court system which suspended my law license for exposing an abusive judge in my efforts to protect a battered mother and her children." The co-chair of the child custody task force of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism, Barry does workshops and provides judicial and other trainings regarding domestic violence particularly related to custody issues. He's also the author of "Scared to Leave, Afraid to Stay," co-editor of "Domestic Violence Abuse and Child Custody" with Mo Therese Hannah and co-author with Elizabeth Liu of "Representing the Domestic Violence Survivor." His newest book is "The Quincy Solution: Stop Domestic Violence and Save $500 Billion," which would dramatically reduce DV crime and child abuse and save enormous sums of money. Barry will also talk about the Safe Child Act which he believes will be very interesting to our listeners, and about the ACE Study (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Research. It strongly supports prevention of child abuse and other child traumas, and definitively establishes that by the time they reach 18, one-quarter of our children have been sexually abused. Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1049

    in Self Help

SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison, and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. Tonight's TOPIC: "THE POWER OF GOVERNMENT" - It seems the media is just an echo machine for government policy, and they know they are part of this propaganda campaign. Mainstream media is no longer here to inform society of real issues and keep an eye on the powers that be. Instead, it merely echoes the opinions of the elite. And it is not just journalists who are being censored. Doctors, lawyers, therapists, politicians and professionals and mandated reporters from all areas are faced with severe retaliation for doing their jobs, or speaking up with an unpopular truth. Join as we speak with Investigative Reporter Michael Volpe, author of Prosecutors Gone Wild and The Definitive Dossier of PTSD in Whistleblowers, Journalist Terri LaPointe from MedicalKidnap.com and Advocate Rosie Vincent. They've all had the courage to look deeper into these issues and expose them to the public. We will also be speaking with Dr. Jim Singer, whose life and career were destroyed by the level of retaliation he faced for speaking up in his role as a Mandated Reporter for abused children. You won't want to miss what they have to share with you, and we guarantee you won't hear it on the evening news. ~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to: naasca.forourkids@gmail.com
