Tonight we will talk of things as though they were. Why are Black people so in love with White America?Did the White man do us a favor by bringing us over to America?Should we be thanking the White man as Jessie Lee Peterson suggest? As bad as this sounds,I think it is worst when people who claim to be conscious also claim America.I dont get it.Some say the White man is build this infrastructure for us and one day we will have America back.Back from what? Some are saying Black people are now the original Americans! So Americo Vespucci was a Black man?The Native Americans are fake and Black people are the original Americans? This is all because our people are sick.We do not want to face ourselves and be adults. We loath Africa because to leave America means we would have to show what we can do absent the White man.We left America before and built an nation why not now?Or maybe racism is not as bad as many claim.Tonight we will deal with the love of America and nation within a nation farce that has impeded nationalist goals for a hundred years.

Tonight we conclude our State of the Black Family series by focusing on the most delicate part of the family--the children. Weve covered the roles in the mistrust of love from both men's and women's points of view, and it's time to address the manifestations of that problem that has developed in our children today. With the absence of the village and a division in the Black couple, our children are left to their own vices to tackle not only the regular universal issues of growing up--but growing up Black in America. The results have erupted in viral developments of too-young relationships, teen pregnancy, effeminazation of our boys, masculinization of our girls, teen domestic violence, STD's, and other preventable issues. What role does our damaged mindsets play in our children's behavior toward relationships, platonic and intimate alike? Join in tonight at 10:30 PM EST by calling 347-327-9967.
Part two of a panel discussion that links how slavery and prisons have contributed to many of the problems facing Black Families today. The discussion will focus on much of the current research presented on this subject. How did slavery and the prison system affect the Black Family? Why were the systems implemented in American life? Why have these destructive forces been allowed to exist so long in Black life? The panel will explore these questions and others in order to suggest an approach to build a positive Black Family agenda.

President Obama declared that the state of the union in America is strong in his last State of the Union address, after he pointed to several examples of progress during his tenure. We wonder...do those successes reflect the realities of the state of Black America?
We will discuss this in three critical areas: employment, education, and law enfrocement/justice.
Bring your big cup and make yourself comfortable. We have a big pot of unapologetic truth to share!
The narative today is the main thing when it needs to be the truth. There is no doubt that Black Americans face much different challenges in America than their White counterpart, even at simular income levels. Culture and common practice are very difficult, if not imposible things to break through or leave behind. Most Whites in America secrectly wish that everyone would just think like they do, and everything would be "just fine." You hear this when there are calls for de hyphaniztion. The cry to adopt the "American Culture" and leave behind other cultures. We forget that the American Culture is "gumbo" of the many cultures that have traveled and settled on our shores. Black American have a unique history in both a negative and positive aspect.
There is no way to ignore slavery, and there is no way to diminish the accomplishments of Black Americans in every single part of American life. From the very bottom of American society to the very top, all in the "blink of an eye." So let's spend a little time today getting our bearings and maybe aiming for a more positive direction.
