Rocky Capella is a Stunt Coordinator, Stuntman and Action Director.Although stunt coordinating and directing the stunt work in several Italian films early in his career, Rocky got his big break from George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic when filming the special effects stunts for Who Frames Roger Rabbit. Rocky doubled Bob Hoskin’s and stunt coordinated all the “Blue Screen” stunt work for the movie. This immediately led to stunt coordinate and double Kevin Pollack for Ron Howard’s film, “Willow” at ILM. He has continued to work with George Lucas and his company on dozens of films projects, most recently on “Red Tails”.Rocky has worked on over 600 films, commercials and Television shows including the award winning projects, “Fruitvale Station”, “The Help”, “Moneyball”, “MILK”, “Contagion”, “RENT”, “Lone Ranger” and “Spiderman” to name a few. Although he is still stunt coordinating films and commercials, as the recently released “JOBS”, and commercials for Range Rover, GM and Toyota, Rocky is also directing commercials and the upcoming feature film, Don’t Shoot, I’m the Guitar Man. It is a true story based on the book by Buzzy Martin’s experience teaching music to San Quentin inmates on death row. In a movie production first, many of the proceeds from this project will go towards a charity to help troubled youth get on the right path.
