This week let’s talk about RESISTANCE. The last few weeks I have been talking about why young people are docile and not resisting civilization. But what about adults, why are we all playing along? Can we fight back? How do we resist? It is Huxley and Hegemony that keeps us in line and much much more. What is one basic thing one can do? Is it too late?
Why Can't Some Women Get Along? It seems in some cases the claws come out, even before the introductions!!!
Wretchedness ... Ratchetness!
Jealousy & Envy.
Tonight, we talk about the thin line between love and hate and the 'womanly' relationship some women choose to share with other women...cloaked in lies and deceit. Why is it such a competitiveness between women, and or a lack of trust between many? Regardless of race.
Is it greed?
Is it insecurity?
Is it the passion and the need to be number one in everything?? Knowing full well that the diversity and numbers within women cultures, talents and beauty are infinite?
Is it a lack of self love that creates opportunities to bully others... being the Mean Girl?
Or... is it just a case of just being trifling?
We all have encountered these types. Tonight we talk about it, and ways to counter-act or deal with obnoxious vixens.
Join YOUR HOSTS > Betty Lewis & Diamond Ryan as we get LIVE AFTER DARK!
Think about the last trip you took. How many stops did you have to make before you reached your destination? Of course, it depends on whether we're talking about a trip to the grocery store or a trip across the country. What about a vacation or a business trip?
Did you fly or drive? You might have taken a train. A lot depends on when you left, how long you planned to be gone, where you were going and why.
In order to reach Empowerment, there is only one way to get there - on the road. You cannot skip ahead by catching a flight. You cannot sleep through the trip by taking a train and leave the navigation to someone else. You must get in your vehicle and drive along the road.
There will be dirt roads that boil up dust with every turn of your tires. There will roads that are full of potholes and are badly in need of repaving. There will be some smooth surfaces and you'll think it's going to be a smooth ride the rest of the way.
You will run into road blocks, traffic jams, railroad crossings, road construction and detours. Why, oh why did you decide to start out on this journey? But you know the answer to that and you can't quit now.
Join Teresa Beeman for a discussion of 13 Stops Along the Road to Empowerment.
This program is brought to you by the Center for Empowered Women and can be heard every Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 am Eastern time.
Everyone has a story. Some transformations you just don’t see coming. You’re familiar with: The Ugly Duckling, Cinderella, My Fair Lady, the Caterpillar becoming a Butterfly?
We love these stories because we hope for our own potential and wonder what we could achieve if we let go, have faith, trust in our guidance and remain present in the moment.
This story is not unlike the others. This story, starting as a dream, is ever present and continues to guide this woman, Diane Taylor, and her organization, Pass It Along. This story continues to make a difference in this world that is very impactful. This story is transformational. This story is not over. This story is inspiring and touches many lives.
Those who are transformed won’t see it coming. But, they will know how and when their own story began, when at one point, in the not so distant future, they look back and remember when they were a caterpillar, or an ugly duckling, or cinder girl, or a flower maiden.
There’s a butterfly in all of us. Get inspired and allow yours to emerge.
