    Fornication: Sexual Sin Series

    in Spirituality

Many christians among others dont want to look at fornication as sin. Just like many homosexuals don't view homosexuality as sin. People flip the meanings of fornication & eiato justify sex before marriage. People justify sex according to their feelings and the social climate we're in today. Some feel the bible isnt clear on the topic. Others believe its quite clear while others are a bit confused on the topic because of all the sex that was being had in the Old Testament. But whats the end result of it all? What's the end result we see today from sex before marrige? Many cultures practice various sex/marriage traditions but whats the overall view of sex before marriage? How is the woman viewed? How has premarital sex (and the other things that come with it) affected our societies?

What's noticed is how people consider waiting for marriage to have sex an ancient narrow-minded ideal that has no significance today and is used as a form of controlling people to a religious system. Lets talk about it...

    Sexual Sin Series: Adultery!

    in Spirituality

We're talking adultery tonight. TV shows (like Being Mary Jane and Scandal) treat it as good entertainment but why? What does this say about us when we ourselves become guilty of it and even the victims? Why are we happy to see the wife lose (if thats what we want to call it) and are yet sad when the husband seems to lose? Is there a double standard?

What are the spiritual ties created through adultery? Adultery comes in many forms and we want to hear from you all on the topic, especially if youve been guilty of it or a victim of it. What ripple affects did it cause you? What does the final authority of scripture say regarding this?

Tune in Sunday nights 10p central

BTR Topic - Holidays and What is Idolatry exactly?

    in Religion

Saturday 04/25/15 12pm ET/11am CTRL/10am MTN/9am Pac Call in and listen share comments or ask questions at 1-347-934-0379 or listen online during and after the program at: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/healingxoutreach/2015/04/25/btr-guest-former-jehovahs-witness-jason-thickpenny-from-the-united-kingdom

Our Guest Jason thickpenny had some technical difficulties and so we were unable to interview him but in this episode I was able to share the meaning of idolatry in light of Christian holidays. I hope you will get to enjoy some of what i shared. I am sharing some key texts and points from my sermon on the same theme.

Acts 17:22-33 - Paul Uses a pagan statue to share the gospel

Pagan deities, along with the sun and the moon, have provided the basis for the naming of the days of the week: Sunday (Sun day), Monday (Moon day), Tuesday (Tiw's day), Wednesday (Woden's day), Thursday (Thor's day), Friday (Frig's day), and Saturday (Saturn's day)

We do not refrain from using the word "flower," even though Flora was the goddess of flowers. nor the word "ocean," even though Oceanus, son of Uranus, was the god of the sea. Other Things With Pagan Origins - Dinner Napkins, Toilets, Neckties, Suits, Church Steeples, wind chimes, pacifiers

Rom 14:13-14 - “Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean

1 Cor 8:4 “So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that "An idol is nothing at all in the world" and that "There is no God but one."
