Amanda (Mandee) Burgess, born Amanda Inez Johnson uses the pen name, Inez Lola, to pay tribute to her late grandmothers who molded her into the woman she is today. Grandmother Inez taught her to have compassion for others and, as her comforter, she would often sing Amanda to sleep.
Even though Amanda didn't get to spend a lot of time with her Granny Lola, she did learn from her what it was to be a virtuous Child of God. According to Amanda, "She kept her house in order. I never heard her cuss or gossip. And she was an awesome cook. One of her greatest qualities was her faithfulness to God coupled with a powerful prayer life."
Holding a Bachelor and a Master of Science from North Carolina Central University, Amanda specializes in identifying the source of problematic behavior that leads to criminality. Additionally, she is skilled in assessing the risks and needs of individuals who display patterns of criminal behavior. As the mother of three, she uses her experiences with teen parenthood, child rearing, and a previous marriage to educate others on how to cultivate healthy relationships. Additionally, Amanda is an advocate for teen pregnancy prevention.
Amanda is currently working on developing a non-profit organization called Project Downshift. The goal of Project Downshift is to empower men (with special emphasis on building them up) and women to support each other mentally, physically, and fiscally while building strong households and healthy children. It is based on the belief that empowering the family spiritually and financially is imperative to their success.
Amanda co-authored her first book, "Flag On The Play: A Woman’s Guide to Finding Mr. Right in a World Full of Mr. Right Nows".

Gerald R. Johnson, Jr.,
Gerald- Son, Father, Brother, & Friend to some… but beyond that he is a Writer. There has been this love for writing since he was quite a young man and it has grown and flourished through the years into something that’s no longer a hobby but a way of life. With no formal training other than trial and error he has developed a style of colorful depiction that draws the readers in and makes them a part of the world he has created; a world that each reader can go into and reach out and touch all that’s around them and really get into the story as it’s laid out. His is a love for Fiction and from Fantasy to Urban Literature and a dabbling in the realm of Erotica it has given him creative leeway into creating that which he sees in his ever dreaming mind placing it all into a format he has recently learned to share. Residing in Central Florida gives him a palette of colors and scenery which he draws from with a healthy appetite of drama, passion, and dramatic reality.
Meet Patricia Johnson a cancer survivor and author of her book A Walking Mircle. Patricia's book tells her story of being a stage 4 breast cancer survivor and her miraculous journey of courage, faith, and determination.

Simplicity of Worship with Thanksgiving is this week's focus. Join in as we continue breaking the lifestyle of worship down in biblical principles and examples, while tying it into the spiritual grace of thanksgiving. "Be not conformed to this world" requires the simplicity of the Word to reveal itself true. The Rose of Sharon Show is completely dedicated to Ephesians 4:15. We provide the knowledge that generates understanding and awareness for leading life 'as He (Jesus) is in this world" IAW 1 John 4:17.
Simply Worship. When Jesus told Satan in Matthew 4:10, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" In the passage of scripture, Jesus was NOT telling Satan to go and sing a song. This week join us as we enter into the flow of True Worship. The Rose of Sharon Show is completely dedicated to Ephesians 4:15. We provide the knowledge that generates understanding and awareness for leading life 'as He (Jesus) is in this world" IAW 1 John 4:17.
30 minutes of truth telling about life and love lessons every Sunday night.
Tell the Truth. Show up in Love. Live in Freedom.
This week, we'll be discussing The Reason Why He Left.
If you've ever had a breakup and wondered what happened, then you won't want to miss this episode of Tell teh Truth with Sharon Pope.
After speaking with hundreds of women about their love lives and their breakups, I have a theory about why some men leave some relationships…
This week as we continue on the subject of worship, we are heading to Columbus Georgia to hang out in the Veteran community with Covenant Partners Ministries (CPM). These folks exemplify what it means to lay down your life for a greater cause. Tune in and experience ministry through men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving others...as trained and equipped Soldiers in the Army of the Lord. The Rose of Sharon Show is completely dedicated to Ephesians 4:15. We provide the knowledge that generates understanding and awareness for leading life 'as He (Jesus) is in this world" IAW 1 John 4:17.
You can't choose who you fall in love with...All her life LaToya Morris wanted to get married, have lots of kids and take care of the household like her mother did. Raised in a Christian home in Texas she grew up in a different atmosphere, her father was a preacher and mother a high school teacher. When she moved to Charlotte, NC for college she never thought she'd fall in love with a hood guy like Montrell Johnson. He was everything her parent's warned her against growing up: long dreads, tattoos all over his body, and a rising coke boy in the streets of Charlotte. Yet Montrell opened LaToya's eyes to a different way of life, despite his lifestyle and their differences, and families trying to tear them apart they never separated. Now, five years later they got married and are expecting their first child, everything is going great until Montrell gets arrested and LaToya is alone and pregnant, nothing could prepare LaToya for the ride she is about to endure, Montrell hates he's put her in this situation because the streets have no conscience or love, and hope she's ready.
