Should you stay safe and comfortable in your life – especially since everything is working great? Or is it better to seize the adventure, mixing things up and initiating the changes you’ve been yearning to experience? When not “rocking the boat” means allowing complacency and lethargy to consume the time it might take to become […]

This week on Facebook.com/SuccessFreaks, Charles asked the question Would you Rather be Brilliant or Inspired? First off, what’s the difference if any between the two? Are we just arguing semantics here or is it anything like Would you Rather be Lucky or Good? While one aspect taps into personal abilities and the other divine gifts, […]

This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!
We continue the SF Fringe Festival on the Air with a rebroadcast of the special interview with Campo Maldito playwright and director Bennett Fisher & Jesca Prudencio; continuing with Blues for Charles's playwright Harry R. Hall; and closing with the creative playwright duo: Linda Ayres-Frederick and Nancy Cooper Frank's Assorted Domestic Emergencies (smile).
Visit www.sffringe.org or 415-673-3847. All plays are at the Exit Theatre, 156 Eddy Street, in San Francisco Sept. 5-20, 2014.
