I spent years chasing one man after another, holding on to the connection and hoping desperately that they would be 'the one'. I hated that I was like this, but couldn't ever let go of my obsession. Finally, after over a decade of feeling like I needed a man in my life to make me feel worthy, the fog lifted and I learned what it really means to love myself and just be happy.
On this episode of Breathe Sexy Live, I will be sharing my testimony of how I have embraced all of my failed attempts at relationships with men and why I am now the happiest I have ever been.
We go "Way Over the Rainbow" tonight with host Andrew Martin. This marks the debut of an exciting new hour, focusing on LGBT news, politics and entertainment. Andrew introduces guests, plays great music, and hopes to delve into serious LGBT culture while at the same time keeping the ambience light and fun.
Tonight's guest is Tony Award nominee Sharon McNight ("Starmites"), who has served as a popular LGBT icon for over two decades as Broadway star, cabaret artiste beyond compare, and Grand Marshal of the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade.
After stepping away from my two year run as a yoga instructor, I have had to learn the practice all over again. That's the beauty of it though, it is a continuous recreation process, an opportunity to dive deeper into learning, healing and experiencing life.
From yoga I have learned to heal my body naturally, experience the greatest joys from the most simple pleasures and what it means to feel fully connected.
On this episode of Breathe Sexy Live I will be sharing a little bit of my philosophy about the practice of yoga and why I have made it a part of my daily life.
"Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are." - Jason Crandell
Jori Nunes is the author of Chocolate Flowers a difficult book for her to write emotionally; but it’s a story she always knew she needed to write, it is book about severe childhood abuse, a topic that most people feel comfortable discussing.
Jori grew up knowing her parents were both ‘different’ and as she aged she learned that the difference was due to mental illness. Jori saw her mother suffer horrible beatings from her father. Jori herself was sexually, emotionally and physically abused and she tried to make sense of the confusion of having disturbed parents.
The reason Jori wrote this courageous book Chocolate Flowers was because she wanted to ‘GET OVER’ her own depression, understand her past and to help readers learn to protect their own children. She uses her knowledge and experience as she shares what’s in her heart in hopes that she is able to raise awareness on this important and critical subject. Her greatest wish is abuse of any kind is never again perpetrated on another innocent child.
