Steve Hickner has spent over thirty-five years working at some of the most fabled studios in animation; including: DreamWorks, Disney, Amblimation, Aardman, Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. He has worked on both the production and artistic sides of the process, serving as Producer on such films as: American Tail II: Fievel Goes West, We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s Story, and Balto. His director credits include Bee Movie and The Prince of Egypt. In addition, he has contributed to such feature films as Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Little Mermaid, The Great Mouse Detective, Madagascar, Shrek Forever After, Peabody and Sherman and Home. His television credits include such favorites as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. Most recently, he has contributed to location-based entertainment projects in Singapore, Dubai, China, and London. For Christmas 2014, he was one of the creative leads on DreamPlace; which was placed in shopping malls across the U.S. He has been a guest speaker at many colleges and universities, film festivals and animation He is the author of Animating Your Career, and Animation Rules! The three subjects we will discuss in depth as follows 1) Breaking into the animation field, and what you can do to grow your career. 2) How the animation field has changed since I entered it thirty-five years ago, and how it is changing now. In this segment of the Vince Anello show, Seth Piccirillo, Niagara Falls New York Community Development Director describes the program for first-time homebuyers. The homes in this program are selected from the city of Niagara Falls In Rem list. These are the properties that the city of Niagara Falls plans to auction off due to nonpayment of taxes.
Mr. Piccirillo also discusses with callers the Isaiah 61 worker training initiative. This is a community effort to train unemployed and disadvantage individuals to learn a trade related to the residential remodeling industry.
Callers also wanted to discuss the frozen water line issue plaguing the city of Niagara Falls for the past several winters.
Gary Anthony Sturgis is a New Orleans born actor/writer/director best-known for his portrayal of the villain in two of Tyler Perry's biggest hit films, "Diary of A Mad Black Woman" (as Jamison Jackson) and "Daddy's Little Girls" (as Joseph Woods). He also co-starred opposite Terrence Howard in "Pride", as the charming yet sinister pimp/drug dealer Franklin Washington. Recently, he has stepped out the role of bad guy to co-star in the comedy "Chicago Pulaski Jones" with Kel Mitchell and Cedric the Entertainer.
