What is the balanced approach to weight management?
This balanced approach to weight management is rooted in the sciences of the human mind and body. Utilizing clinical studies in physiology as well as psychology has helped her better understand the instinctive patterns that cause people to fail at weight loss. “Patterns will undermine a diet plan in no time,” Grewal explains. “Driving passed the same fast food restaurant on your way to work everyday can sabotage your plans in the first week. You have to recognize those type patterns in order to avoid them.” You need a plan for long-term weight loss. “But that doesn’t mean slow weight loss; It only means effective weight loss that lasts.”
The authors of Fat-Me-Not: Weight Loss Diet of The Future, Dr. Myo M Nwe and Dr. Sandeep Grewal have finally connected the advances in weight-loss science and brought that knowledge from the annals of research journals to your doorstep in a simplified, easy-read, fun, and entertaining way. Why try to lose weight the old way when powerful new research, stuck in scientific journals until now, can make it easier, simpler, and safer for you to shed those pounds?
In the Fat-Me-Not book you will discover:
How bacteria in our gut can hack into our nervous system and change what we crave and what we eat
How your body regulates your weight and how you can use it to your advantage
Why, when you diet and lose weight, you gain back even more pounds than before
If you are trapped in the FAT-ME-YES cycle and how to get out of it
Why today’s diets do not sustain weight loss and why the diet of the future is an easier, simpler, and safer way to lose weight

Direct Primary Care is growing and groaning. What drives it? What goes into the development of the DPC culture? Is there a culture of DPC? "A culture is a way of life of a group of people--the behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept, generally without thinking about them, and that are passed along by communication and imitation from one generation to the next." one internet definition.
Models of DPC include "Pure", Mixed and Hybrid. I'll define Mixed during the show.
Who is doing it and how does it come together?
The DPC Summits help to anchor the movement. July 8-10 in Kansas City is the next national one.
Our Ohio UnSummit seeks to help with the development of the Ohio DPC culture. I'll discuss the UnSummit (Feb 20th in Dublin, OH) and shamelessly promote it during the show.

What does it mean to you to fight to the finish or end well? What does that look like close up. 2 Tim 4:7 seems to provide a few answers to these questions. It says "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". Can you say that today, that you have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith? Well I to like you have to ask myself this all important question and must ask frequently so as to determine where I stand in Christ, am I slowing down in my zeal for Christ? How is my excitement and desire for God's Holy word? Am I telling others about my personal testimony and how I have come to know the Lord today? Am I on my knees daily fighting battles, confessing sin and while still marching forward for the cause of Christ? With so much at stake in the battle between good and evil, flesh vs. spirit we want to be able to say we didnt buckle to the pressure, that we were fully committed and went the distance in faith with our marriages, our children, those family members outside of Christ, our integrity, purity and through pain, temptation, and of course all those times you felt like throwing in the towel, but you didnt. You yourself can echo the same words of the apostle Paul in 2 Tim 4:7. Lord help us all to endure and finish our race well.
