Join us on FRIDAY, AUG 23 when we feature, for the second time, actor Jordon Hodges of the upcoming dramatic film “Sand Castles.”
Originally from Goshen, IN, Jordon ‘fell into acting’ unintentionally while in college – and never looked back. He would soon drop out to pursue his acting career, eventually making his way to L.A. In this segment, we pick up where we left off two years ago: having wrote and starred in Impulse Black, Jordon was then starring in a new flick called Mary’s Buttons, which landed him a Best Actor nomination at the Detroit Uptown Film Festival.
Jordon then went on to write and star in the upcoming film Sand Castles, about a young girl who was kidnapped and, a decade later, is returned to her home, which was left broken since her disappearance. The film is scheduled for release in 2014.

In this story of perseverance in the face of adversity, Regina Calcaterra recounts her childhood in foster care and on the streets—and how she and her savvy crew of homeless siblings managed to survive years of homelessness, abandonment, and abuse.
Regina Calcaterra's emotionally powerful memoir reveals how she endured a series of foster homes and intermittent homelessness in the shadow of the Hamptons, and how she rose above her past while fighting to keep her brother and three sisters together.
Beautifully written and heartbreakingly honest, Etched in Sand is an unforgettable reminder that regardless of social status, the American dream is still within reach for those who have the desire and the determination to succeed.

Sean Comer joins the Man Cave for the January edition of the Bad Movie Review Club. This month we tackle Sand Sharks, which, as you’d expect, is a movie about sharks in the sand. We’ll talk about Brooke Hogan’s acting debut, the greatness of Robert Pike Daniel, and how you can build a town on stupidity. Plus, as always, we’ll reveal our February movie.
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand. 16 Cursed are all those that shall lift up the heel against mine anointed, saith the Lord, and cry they have sinned when they have not sinned before me, saith the Lord, but have done that which was meet in mine eyes, and which I commanded them. 17 But those who cry transgression do it because they are the servants of sin, and are the children of disobedience themselves. 18 And those who swear falsely against my servants, that they might bring them into bondage and death-- 19 Wo unto them; because they have offended my little ones they shall be severed from the ordinances of mine house. 20 Their basket shall not be full, their houses and their barns shall perish, and they themselves shall be despised by those that flattered them. 21 They shall not have right to the priesthood, nor their posterity after them from generation to generation. 22 It had been better for them that a millstone had been hanged about their necks, and they drowned in the depth of the sea. 23 Wo unto all those that discomfort my people, and drive, and murder, and testify against them, saith the Lord of Hosts; a generation of vipers shall not escape the damnation of hell.
