Do You Need a Root Canal?

    in Health

One of dentistry's crowning achievements is root canal theapy.  They've figured a way to remove the diseased part of the

Diseased inner part of the tooth filling it with a biologically acceptable material. This achieves a couple of important goals in dentistry. First it maintains the functionality of the arch, the functionality of the chewing mechanism, and esthetically the smile is basically unaltered. We know that people with teeth live longer and people with teeth live better.

The process is called root canal therapy. The lay term is root canal and it’s coming under tighter and tighter scrutiny. How do you know if a root canal is for you? A chronically abscessed tooth can increase C-reactive proteins, an indicator and instigator of increased cardiovascular assault. Something has to be done, but what? How does a tooth come to needing root canal therapy? How long does it take before a tooth injury becomes noticeable.
