Legal Eagle and the Coach Radio Talks Health and Insurance

    in Business

Legal Eagle and the Coach Radio with Daivid Altenbern & Bryan Kiser with their guest Eric Wilson & Mary Black:

Eric Wilson - I have been a health and life insurance broker for over a decade, I been on other shows nationallly discussing Obamacare. I have been cited by CNN, FOX,ABC, NBC, etc. I am an insurance broker, who has survived in the ACA environment. When the ACA reduced commissions, many brokers vanished or got out of health. I am still thriving in he environment. It took a lot of long hours early on to get started, the. A whole lot when the ACA passed. The ACA is challenging for many, so I help then navigate insurance products both on and off the marketplace. For seniors on Medicare, I help them understand Medicare and their options. Lastly with the country over $18 trillion in debt offer tax free retirement solutions.

Mary Black - I am a retired competitive sled dog racer, and am now an Executive Partner with a $2 Billion health and wellness company teaching people how to be healthy and also teaching them about time freedom. In the 22 years my husband and I had a front yard full of sled dogs (we had as few as 30 to as many as 90 at any given time), we learned a lot about how to be a leader and live a life of passion and purpose. Spending literally thousands of hours a year behind a dog team, there is never a dull moment. There is always something to learn...from stressful situations you wonder how you are going to get out of, to proud moments as you see the athletes you raised yourself meld into a fluid team pulling together. Life is a blessing and those four-legged souls taught me a lot about how to live life.

    Facts about...Buying Disability Insurance

    in Entertainment

The host of Lets Chat Radio has been a licensed insurance benefits counselor for 6 years working in the life and health insurance markets and today will discuss disablilty insurance.  Get your pencil and paper ready !

Nearly one-third of U.S. workers will become disabled at some point in their career before reaching retirement, according to a 2009 estimate from the Social Security Administration. Yet the federal agency says that 70% of employees aren't covered by private long-term disability insurance. Social Security disability benefits are available for certain disabled workers, but the average payout is only 40% of a person's income and the allowance rate for initial claims can be as low as 30% in some areas of the U.S.

Individual disability insurance is truly a basic concept. It is an insurance product designed to replace anywhere from 45-60% of your gross income on a tax-free basis should a sickness or illness prevent you from earning an income in your occupation. Your most important asset is your ability to bring home a paycheck, DI makes sure that regardless of any adverse changes to your health, you are able to provide for yourself and your family. Every disability insurance policy from every insurance company is very different, this is not a product to simply shop for the most competitive rate. To buy the cheapest disability insurance policy on the market is to throw money away. The odds of getting paid a monthly benefit under a cheap contract may be significantly lower than receiving benefits from a quality contract. The goal of this show is to provide you with information to make an educated decision on your own.      I will provide you with information regarding the major features of a disability insurance policy so that you may better understand how to read a disability insurance policy. Monday Morning Motivations- Guest --John Parks, CIC Commercial Insurance Advisor

    in Entrepreneur

John Parks grew up in Rapid City, in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  After graduating from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 1997, John worked in advertising sales at a group of radio stations called Results Radio for about 10 years.  In that time, John appreciated the amazing sales training provided by his management team.  He also grew to love calling on business owners as each day presented new opportunities for learning about the complexities of different industries.  From there, John transitioned into the insurance realm in 2006 by opening his own agency within Farmers Insurance.  While there he focused primarily on personal insurance solutions.

With a desire to return to working with business owners, John accepted the opportunity to work with Fischer Rounds and Associates as they opened their 5th location in SD in Sioux Falls in September of 2009.  There, as a commercial lines producer and shareholder, John has advised a variety of businesses, including those in the food service, retail, construction, transportation and distribution/wholesaling industries.

John has been married to his wife, Susie, since 2003 and they have two young daughters… Ella  and Sylvia.  As his daughters frequently point out, John is girl-trapped.  John ran track and cross-country collegiately and still enjoys running, and has competed in one marathon… so far.  John also enjoys golfing and is busy enjoying his daughters’ activities.  John is also partner in a web-based networking business called Switchyard Leads Network or switchyard.net.
