HOLY COMMUNION IS A CELEBRATION, not a funeral. Christ died but,  IN THREE DAYS He rose again conquering hell, death and the grave. JESUS  spoiled principalities and powers and made a show of them openly.  He also held captivity captive and gave gift unto men. And he's coming back again. Celebrate!!

The blessings of taking communion. The is health and healing in taking Holy Communion. you are observing all that Christ did. Before the Cross He was beaten and brused for our iniquities, on the Cross He died for our sins.
    Luke 22;20; Jn 16:20; 1Cor 10:15;
The danger of taking communion unworthily; Not properly observing the body. 1 Cor 11:26-30
Example of taking communion unworthy: " A MAN OUGHT TO EXAMINE HIMSELF." 1 Cor 11:2
    1. Not fully aware that we are representing the sacrifice of Jesus by which we are redeemed.
    Willful unrepented sin.
Taking communion while having unreconciled issues with other Christians.
Paul rebuked the Corinthians, they took communion for self indulge; eating and getting drunk off the wine, 1 Cor 11:17-34
Both the bread and the wine must be taken.
A follower of Christ must take communion, John 6:52-53.
How often should you take communion, their are no instructions other than; " As often as you do drink it , this do in rememberance of me. you can take Holy Communion as oten as you are lead or see fit.  And obviously you a right to do this on your own. You do not need to be an ordained minister to administer Holy Communion to your self family, family, friends and loved ones. But inside the churches there are certain man made rules to follow.

At Eye Level - Remembering the Roadhouse

    in Entertainment

This week had been full of rememberance. For a few days, everyone changed their profile pics to the World Trade Center or an American Flag and changed their statuses to "Never Forget". We all sat around, rtelling stories of where we were and how we felt. Some of us who lost loved ones looked at pictures and cried.

Well, we're going to do some remembering of our own, this week. We're turning back the clock and paying tribute to the early days of Matt's radio career. We'll have the usual smorgasbord of random topics, clips and music and might even have a guest or two drop in. It'll be just like the good ole days at the Roadkill Roadhouse.

How to balance mourning& living author Donna Mebane (Mebbin) of Tomorrow Comes

    in Lifestyle

Each day catalysts in our lives affect us.  Sometimes they are so small we hardly notice them.  A smile from someone passing us on the street may elevate our mood; hearing a song on the radio may trigger a memory that brings clarity to why we behave in a certain way. Sometimes these events are more immediately significant, like the loss of a job.

And, every once in a while, we are hit by a catalyst with the magnitude of an avalanche, an event so significant that our very survival is at stake. This is what happened to Donna Mebane. The catalyst to her journey was the unexpected and yet unexplained loss of her nineteen year old daughter, Emma.  What she learned and how she has manifested it is a fascinating look at how we choose to move forward in life – and what just might happen when we do.

Donna Mebane grew up wanting to be two things: a mother and a writer. She became a mom after the birth of her first child, Jason. She became a writer after the death of her youngest child, Emma.

While Donna has had numerous writing experiences over the years, she became a published author after she wrote Tomorrow Comes as a way of envisioning a future for her 19-year-old daughter who went to sleep one night and never woke up. She calls Tomorrow Comes a work of “reality fiction” because it captures the reality of grief that family and friends endured after Emma died at the same time that it creates an enchanting fictional world of AFTER where Emma can continue to be herself

Ramadan: The Month of Bringing Back the Spirit of the Soul to Human Kind

    in Spirituality

There is so much destruction of human life today by the hands of man. Man is killing each other like swatting an insect. With no regards or respect for human life. This is because man has removed the rememberance of the Almighty G'd from his life and has given his soul to the world to be guided by the influnces of society in the world today, most people have forgotten the goodness of Almighty G'd inside of themselves and therefore, they have forgotten their own souls, and an empty mind is the devil's workshop, so most people are under the influence of evil, and only the whole truth in the Qur'an will bring the people back to spiritual life. The month of Ramadan allows us the opportunity to study the words of Allah, meditate on or purpose for existing, and reflect on our life and how we need to work on our self ills first and to correcdt the wrong within us, in order to reach out and help those in our society to turn back to their Creator for right guidance according to his laws. Fasting keeps us forcused on our Creator and seeking His Guidance.
