Extensive research has gone into high achievers, with the end result being more linked to discipline, drive and dedication than to innate talent. Many kids get easily frustrated at a very young age and after a few failed attempts at say, tying their shoe, they give up, cry, and request a Velcro pair. While temperament will always play a role, all children can be taught to push themselves beyond what they believed achievable. How you can raise your children to be winners.
Join Dave Nassaney, this Wed. 12/17/14 at noon, PST, as he interviews Barbara Allisen on "Dave, The Caregiver's Caregiver Radio Show".as she talks about young moms and their challanges raising young children, special needs children and the stresses of balancing all the responsibilities of motherhood with being a wife, parent, home-maker, job, etc.
How do you, as a new student in communicating with yourself and learning to really hear and begin to make changes, begin the communications with the children in your lives that we have now acting out because of you not taking the physical steps that were necessary to create happiness in your heart?
As a parent you must become aware that the children that are being born onto this planet, and have been in the last twelve years, are coming in with a different DNA program. They do not hold any kind of guilt.
Join us on today's call as we explore how children benefit from us creating happiness in our own heart!

Breastfeeding in public has been a hot topic in the birthing and parenting worlds. Often breastfeeding in public is treated as taboo and breastfeeding mothers may be asked to leave stores or businesses. When did breastfeeding your baby become taboo or controversial? Does the lack of acceptance of public breastfeeding affect breastfeeding rates? According to the CDC, less than 80% of babies are ever breastfed, with rates dropping to less than 50% by age 6 months. In many parts of the world, breastfeeding rates are much higher and public breastfeeding is widely accepted--why not here in the U.S.? What can we do to normalize breastfeeding so that woman are free to breastfeed their babies whenever and whereever they need to? What can we do to promote the diversity of breastfeeding, whether it be culturally or even in the ways women choose to breastfeed (on the breast, pumping, tandem, etc.)?
Vaness Simmons, photographer and founder of the Normalize Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign is on the show tonight to discuss how she's out to postively impact breastfeeding in the United States and what you can do to help. Find out more at http://normalizebreastfeeding.org/.

Topic and discussion includes Pagan news items, dates of interest, and a discussion of Raising Pagan Children; how to explain why our Holidays are different, when to step in when the school system or teachers cross the line, even why our views of the afterlife are not like the Christian ones. And maybe some Thanksgiving factoids you can use with family and friends. Comments and questions from callers and chat room participants welcome! Let's Chat!
