Who knew this year I would have 3 shows to do with regard to Oscar/Grammy/Golden Globe Red Carpet. And WoW, dresses from all three shows will make up my final list of ten. Plus, I think the best dresses were at the The Golden Globes. How did that happen. The Academy Awards was usurped by The Golden Globes with better fashion. Truly odd in my opinion.
Alright finally what you have been waiting for my final 10 pick for the awards seasosn and what I think will be in the wedding aisles come June of this year. I have been correct three years in a row, and I don't intend to break my streak yet. What's your pick? Let me know what your picks are by calling meon Sunday at 347 996 5829. I'd love to hear your opinion, too.
I don't think there will be a clear cut winner of the ten best dresses from the Oscar Red Carpet this year. I think I will have to borrow some dresses from both the Golden Globes and The Grammy's this year. This year's Oscar dresses were not as traditionally classic as years past and perhaps that is a good thing. Maybe women should have to be stuffed in a dress just to make it designer newsworthy.
Because of my surprise I will also include dresses on my ten best list from all three Awards Shows. This is a first on my part, but tell me if you agree that the Oscars were not all that you thought they could be. Let's compare notes. If you prefer to read about them, I will also have my list on my website: budgetweddingsnyc.com along with some choices for honeymoon attire depending on the theme of your wedding.
Bring your list and compare.

A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long. She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises. She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day. She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden. First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started. She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day. She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking. She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor. She doesn't worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear. She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks. Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile. When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say. She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive. Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise: "Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!" Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. Give her everything she deserves! Adorn and decorate her life with praises!

My guest will be Candice Galek, the founder and CEO of Bikini Luxe, a Florida-based retailer specializing in fashion clothing, swimwear and accessories for young women. Founded in December 2013 as a one-person operation, with Ms. Galek working alone in her dining room hand writing and packing every order that came in, Biki Luxe has grown into a business with more than 10 employees in its Miami office and an international team of 40.
Although a relatively young company, Bikini Luxe has risen quickly in the ranks of online fashion, stocking well over 2,500 different bikinis and one-piece swimsuits. While primarily focused on luxury swimwear, the company also sells other designer clothing items and accessories, such as designer active wear, luxury resort wear, jewelry and dresses. It has grown to the third largest online swimwear retailer, now carrying such well-known brands as Frankie’s Bikinis, Agua Bendita, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Michi NYC, and Shahida Parides.
Ms. Galek has taken Bikini Luxe from humble beginnings to a world renowned swimwear and resort wear hot spot that’s been featured in publications such as Forbes, Shape Magazine, and Inc., and on Fox Business Channel.
A retired teacher for disabled adults, Anita Beck has always loved sewing and interior design. From both "loves," Nickky's Niche Designs was born.
As women, we generally seem to have a need for comfort and functionality. We see this when we consider the rooms we use the most and the clothing we wear the most. In response to these perceived needs, Anita created a line of garments that are not only wrinkle resistant but also comfortable and flattering for today's active lifestyles. Each of her designs, including dresses, skirts, slacks, shawls, vests, jackets, and formal wear, is hand created. Anita says, "my designs travel well and so do I. As a mobile boutique, I can bring the store right to your door."
Room makeovers are another aspect of her overall dynamic creations where she implements the same design concepts of fun, comfort, affordability, and functionality. Anita says she feels blessed to be able to do the things she enjoys.
