Los Angeles native Patrick Muldoon, best known for his portrayal of “Austin Reed” on NBC’s venerable, longtime soap “Days of Our Lives,” has amassed an impressive list of credits, and over the years has solidified his reputation as one of Hollywood’s nicest and most charming actors. Patrick was cast in a Calvin Klein denim campaign while attending USC, but modeling was a short career, as he was intrigued by acting. His then-girlfriend urged him to start acting classes in Los Angeles with famed Hollywood acting coach, Vincent Chase. Early in his career, Muldoon appeared as "Cowboy Matt" in the Tony Danza show, "Who's The Boss?" which led him to a guest appearance on "Silk Stockings." Muldoon later won the role of "Austin Reed," on NBC's daytime drama, "Days of Our Lives," earning him the Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Male Newcomer in 1994. Being such a recognizable face from "Days," he caught the attention of the Spelling family, and was cast as Josie Bissett's boyfriend, "Richard Hart," on the hit show "Melrose Place." He went on to appear in a host of independent films, and will next be seen in the star-studded comedy, "For Better or For Worse," with Amanda Seyfried, Nikki Reed, and Rebecca Gayheart. The film follows a pair of grooms whose family, friends, and exes threaten to turn their weddings into disastrous events. Muldoon is the lead singer of the rock band, "The Sleeping Masses." The bad released their music video, "The Woman is the Way," the end credits song from the movie "Powder Blue," staring Jessica Biel. Twitter: @muldoonpatrick
