    Recording Gospel Artist Wess Morgan

    in Radio

    It could be his powerful, soulful voice, or his refreshing delivery that makes inspirational artist Wess Morgan such a thrill to bear witness to. Or maybe it’s because he has walked on a rough path—one that might have made another falter—that makes his music so moving, so unique, and so unforgettable. But one thing is for certain, Wess, by the grace of God, has proven that he is strong, resilient, and one of the most talented and anointed gospel / inspirational artists of this generation.

    Born in Mississippi, but raised in Tennessee by an extremely musical family—his parents Joseph and Yolanda, both pastors, sang in and out of church—Wess knew at a young age that music and God was destined to be an integral part of his life. Along with his siblings, he began traveling with his parents, as they ministered the word of God through music, teaching, and preaching in churches across the United States.

    But at the age of 11, Wess began experimenting with drugs and alcohol, eventually becoming addicted to cocaine and finding himself in and out of juvenile detention centers for most of his teens and 20s. It was while in jail, and about to be sentenced for seriously injuring his friends—in a horrifying car crash in which he was high, drunk, and speeding—that he spoke to God and God actually answered him. “I just cried out to God and asked Him to forgive me for what happened and to help me get straight,” Wess remembers. “I asked Him for a strategy and He spoke one word to me and that was ‘accountability.’ And I’ve been clean ever since.” Pursuing a singing career had always been a deep desire for Wess, but his addictions kept robbing him of the chance. After he beat his addiction, he finally went into the studio with Tre Corley, the pair ende up writing and producing Wess first sol project, "Look at Me Now!

    Bringing God's Dream to pass in your life (continued)

    in Religion

    Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX continues speaking about how God is a God of visions and dreams. Dreams are the language of the Holy Spirit. We are talking about God-breathed dreams in your heart. God begins by speaking about God and America.  Joel 2:28 says, "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions." God says that He is going to raise up a maturity of the body of Christ.  That body of Christ is going to do things that haven't been done.  Ecclesiastes 5:3 says, "For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words." In birthing the dream God has for you requires effort, often painful effort.

    Sometimes when you get a dream from the Holy Spirit people will hate you.  Not always, but sometimes. God's dreamers are all throughout the land and He is restoring dignity to them. Luke 16:10-12 says, "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?  And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?"  If you have been faithful, God will give you what is your own. This all relates to being planted in a local Church.

    Learn how to walk in love.  Be born again, be water baptised, be baptised in the Holy Spirit and be planted in a local Church.  Pastor Brad continues to speak about the gift of praying in tongues and being able to interpret what you pray. Pray that God will use you and give you a profitable word of encouragement for others. Dreams are the language of the Holy Spirit.

    Bring God's Dream to pass in your life

    in Religion

    Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX speaks today about something he really believes in: God has something specific for every person to do. Your relationship with Jesus is the most important thing.  Trust Christ and give your life to Christ. That relationship give you something. Acts 1:8 says, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

    Here are the principles of bringing God's dream to pass:
    1. God desires that everyone would have a relationship with Christ;
    2. God wants you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues;
    3. God wants you to be water baptized; and
    4. God wants you to be planted in a local Church.

    God wants to begin to show you what the dream is for your life.  His dream for you is a progressive thing - little by little. In Jeremiah 29:10-11 it says, "For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." What is important to note in this scripture is that God has a location, divine connections, and a timing for His dream for your life. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself and believe in the fact that God is true. Trust that God is thinking about you. You can know the thoughts that God is thinking by reading the word of God! You also need to pray.

    God's hand is upon you. Once you put your trust in the Lord, God's hand is upon you. Remember, there is a set time for the dream that God has for your life.

    Turning the valley of trouble into a door of hope - hope for discouraged saints

    in Religion

    Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX continues speaking on a series about hope for discouraged Christians. We all go through different challenges in our lives. Whatever challenge you are facing, God is faithful if you maintain a relationship with Him. You have to decide to follow the lord -- no matter what. God will confirm the thing He has called you to do. God knows we are just flesh, and knows that sometimes we need encouragement.

    Pastor Brad continues to teach from Hosea 2 and Hosea 6. These are messages of encouragement for believers. The essence of this teaching is that God is leading you, He is sustaining you and will bring you through whatever situation you are in to where he wants you to be.  Stay in His word.

    God will cause doors to be opened. He will turn the Valley of trouble into a door of hope. The very thing that may be an obstacle, will be the thing that brings you forward into His manifested destiny for you. God is going to begin to sow into you His favor, loving-kindness, faithfullness -- He is the God of the turnaround.

    In Isaiah 48:3 says, "I have declared the former things from the beginning; They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass." God wants to tell us some things and He wants us to hear them. Sometimes when you are walking with the Lord He will show the end of a thing, because He wants you to be encouraged. As we have hope in the end of the thing, the thing that He has spoken will come to pass.

    God is in the turning business - hope for discouraged saints

    in Religion

    Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX continues speaking on a series about hope for discouraged Christians.  God will sustain you until the breakthrough and total change comes to you life. Hosea 2 says "He can turn the valley of trouble into the expectation of hope."  God is in the turning business. God wants to do some things in your life that seem unreal.  the devil is a liar -- whatever the devil is telling you today, he is a liar and there is no truth in him!

    Sometime we get delay, and sometimes we have to carry a word until it is fulfilled. Pastor Brad continues sharing from 1 Kings 18 & 19. In these verses Elijah's struggle and victory through the faithfullness of God is demonstrated. In the end there was a still small voice of God loving on Elijah.

    When you are going through discouragement we have to look for God to strengthen us.  We have to spend time with the Lord in His word. When you are going through a time ... go to scriptures, Psalms, to places that have brought you encouragement and eat on the word of God. Also, sometimes you just have to rest and take a break.

    You may have been walking through something for a while, but suddenly God will give you a fresh voice and change your life.
