Our living space has a great deal of influence in how effective we can be in our lives. Dr. Vaughn Heath, Co-Founder of The Arise Society in Utah joined Lon July 14, 2015 to explain how a healthy living environment is especially important to college students having trouble with social relationships or self-organizing. Dr. Vaughn Heath and Dr. Ken Newell are co-founders of the Arise Society working in concert with Utah Valley College to provide support to students needing that extra help in coping with the demands of college.

Awakened Living is a 21st century movement for people who consider themselves spiritual, but not religious, and have a deep hunger for personal and global transformation.
Our mission is to encourage and inspire the awakening of human consciousness.
Conservatives in Texas are tripping over themselves to figure out a way to argue that migrants should be denied gun rights under their state's liberal ownership laws. We condemn their bigotry as irrational and repugnant - Freedom is for EVERYBODY, even brown people. Today we'll pick up where we left off last week and dig deeper into this dark weird world where bigotry attempts to create safe space for middle class white cisgender heterosexual christians and throw everybody else in a cultural gulag - all while trumpeting their commitment to "freedom".
This week we talk to Jason Humphrey about personal protection. We all go out into the public and we can never know what to expect. But we can be prepared and vigilant. We will talk to Jason about how to keep your personal space safe by being trained, prepared and vigilant.

And although buriedbeneath life’s trophy’s of accolades and accomplishments they will resurface in outward manifestations and behaviors. The Space Boys is an exciting new series of children's books written by James L. Papandrea and illustrated by Joe Groshek. Books that provide life lessons and how to overcome adversities kids deal with growing up in today's society. The Space Boys Meet The Moon Bully will teach children that we all have different talents and abilities, the importance of focusing on the five senses, and a lesson about forgiveness. It includes a page of valuable suggestions for talking with your child about bullying. Great book for ages 5-11 year olds.
The space dilemma can be extremely frustrating when entertaining family and friends during the holidays.
Is your extended family growing and your house is still the same size? Yeah, we have that challenge, too.
We've invited Kim Lewis, the powerfully creative lead designer behind more than 120 homes for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and is the designer for FYI's 'Tiny House Nation.'
When The Washington Post asked Kim how to max storage in a small space, Kim answered:
"Storage can come in all shapes and sizes. I say let's get creative with your furniture. You can use things like vintage suitcases stacked as your side tables...Each suitcase is a storage space. Storage ottomans work well as a linen closet! For food storage, I suggest a butcher cart in the kitchen, with bins below -- I have a tiny kitchen, and this is what I do! Also acts as a great island when you're prepping food. For outdoor gear, I have suspended a wood pallet from the ceiling with eye hooks."
Theresa challenged Kim's holiday entertaining creativity with a 1-cubic-foot box challenge. What would you pack in a 1-cubic foot box that are your holiday entertaining essentials?
