This Sunday our BlogTalk radio program will cover the importance of carrying on oral tradition, and introduce our listeners to our WnT YouTube Channel. Join Billie Fidlin, president of WnT and Millie Chalk, member of the Board of Directors and part of the YouTube Channel team.
Oral tradition is the spoken relation and preservation, from one generation to the next, of a people's cultural history and ancestry, often by a storyteller in narrative form.
Oral tradition is cultural material and tradition transmitted orally from one generation to another. The messages or testimony are verbally transmitted in speech or song and may take the form, for example, of folktales, sayings, ballads, songs, or chants. In this way, it is possible for a society to transmit oral history, oral literature, oral law and other knowledge across generations without a writing system. It often refers to the transmission of cultural material through vocal utterance. WnT has brought some of the oral tradition to life in written format through our online magazine and by then sharing a oral recording of some of those stories on our YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/WhispernThunder
The historical marginalization of indigenous people, the dogma of stigma, the continued oppression of an entire race of people to the political and social edges of society cannot and must not continue. Telling the story begins the healing. Telling the story also begins the true understanding of a history of both tragedy and triumph.

Is it because of a bad or traumatic experience? do you need a class? are you embarassed? Too many questions that need answers. We are going No Filters tomorrow night.
To experience sexual pleasure, you need to stay present with your body and feelings. You need to be able to express yourself and to let go. Finding ways to feel more comfortable with these things will help your sex life.

Traditions Training Blog Talk Radio kicks off our 2014 summer show, with an action packed dialogue from several of the Traditions Training Instructor family.
On Tuesday June 3 at 7:30 pm, we will discuss in detail, tactical considerations for fires involving the two-story legacy wood frame dwelling. Unfortunately, the fire service has experienced many serious injuries and LODD’s while operating in these types of structures.
Please join Traditions Training Instructors Ricky Riley (Host), Nick Martin, Dan Shaw, Doug Mitchell, Danny Doyle, Roger Steger Jr, Sam Hittle and Larry Schultz as we discuss: risk assessment, command & control, engine company operations, truck company operations and RIT operations when dealing with the frame dwelling.
In advance of the show, we recommend reading the following NIOSH LODD reports, which occurred in this type of structure:
Bridgeport, Conn. Double LODD House Fire
Pittsburgh, PA. Bricelyn St. Triple LODD
Try to identify pertinent issues relating to building construction features, fire behavior concerns in the Type V (wood frame), critical tactical objectives, required resources and sound command and control considerations.
One of the problems many of our CHD children suffer from is "Failure to Thrive" and because the children with critical congenital heart defects usually have surgery within the first days or months of their lives, they may develop oral aversion (very probably because of being intubated for extended periods of time). Because many of our children have oral aversion, they frequently do not like foods of certain textures. This can make feeding our CHD children a great challenge. If you are suffering from this situation, this show is one you shouldn't miss! Listen to our show to hear of others who have dealt with these issues and find out how they have overcome problems. There is hope!

Quote from the BBC article
However, Prof Ian Needleman, director of the International Centre for Evidence-Based Oral Health at University College London, says there could be an impact in elite sport.
He told the BBC: "It's the accumulation of marginal gains, where the difference between elite athletes at the very top is small. Then oral health, amongst other aspects, could make a difference.
"The research we did at London 2012 found a large proportion of young athletes, fantastically well tuned physically, had really poor oral health.
"Quite a high proportion reported an impact on their training and performance so it's clearly an issue for them."
