Surrender is a frightening word to most. It means that we are giving up control, and we don't always know what will happen as a result.
On this week's episode, we will talk about what happens when you surrender everything in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and the resulting fruit in your life. We have two powerful guests who know the fruit of surrender in their own lives.
John and Sandra Turner are beautiful examples of surrender. They have given their lives for the kingdom of God, and are about to embark on their new journey; selling all that they have to move to Brazil as missionaries.
Join us as we talk about surrender, and give tribute to the people in France after the horrible attacks on November 14th. We will also have a special song by Justin Gambino, and one by the d.Mystify Worship Band. You can find them on Facebook.
If you are touched by John and Sandra's upcoming mission, you can find them on Facebook. The links are all below.

Free Friday is a day we can do whatever we want. NO script or plan. What we feel in the morning is what we do and today we felt to put it out on Facebook what the subject should be. Surrender was the winner. So today we are going to allow the flow of the group to create the content.
Maria and I are thinking to throw in a clearing and a surrender meditation done on the call. Check it out
There are so many words and ways to surrender, but often we neither use the words not take the time to fully surrender and if we did we'd wind up with a fuller more prosperous life. Too often we believe doing, doing is what's needed to succeed. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Focused work, yes but not filling up your day with busyness. Join me on the second part to surrendering while enlarging your life.
This broadast is straight from teh heart led by the Spirit given to me to share with you. It is not live I will be uploading it. It is a powerful word, God is wanting to get His children to a place of complete surrender. We have to be willing to let go of everything and let God have all control.
I hope you receive it, grow in it and come to that very place.
I love you all God bless you and keep you.

Join Christy Demetrakis and her special guest Dr. Celeste Owens, PhD for "Mastering the Art of Surrender" Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30pm EST.
About Dr. Celeste Owens:
Celeste Owens, PhD, is a former psychologist turned wellness guru who offers wisdom, advice, and tools that promote health and healing from a Biblical perspective.
A 7-year Breast Cancer survivor, Dr. Celeste has personally experienced the healing power of a holistic lifestyle and proper nutrition. In fact, her personal battle with cancer inspired her to become a Certified Natural Health Professional and to adopt a clean-eating lifestyle. Now this once self-proclaimed “junk-food-junkie” is thriving post cancer and inspires others to do the same.
Dr. Celeste will enliven your next meeting or conference with her innovative approach to health and wellness. Her live-out-loud, transparent manner of message delivery leaves audiences laughing, learning, and transformed from the inside out as Dr. Celeste believes that when one “changes her mind, she changes her season.”
As a health and wellness aficionado Dr. Celeste has been featured on television programs such as Let’s Pray and Grace and Glory and interviewed for the Washington Post, Essence, Heart & Soul, and Vision Magazines. She is also extensively interviewed about her first book, The 40-Day Surrender Fast which chronicles her unlikely path to wholeness.
In my first novel, Lake Surrender, I use my love of Michigan lakes to tell a story of a woman struggling with abrupt change and difficult circumstances to see a greater hand at work.
With slices of humor, I write of hardships many face as a single mom, a parent of a disabled child, a displaced employee, a lonely widow and a once homeless young man.
My characters, flawed, live through unnerving stress, like a barefoot water-skier hanging on to the boat connected with one strand of yarn to life. While hanging onto the boat for dear life they find the unwavering patience of God in the most unusual places.
Using my degree in Recreational Therapy I have worked with autistic children, In this novel I wanted a story that would lift their value in the world while at the same time highlight the difficulty raising such a special child.
My first book, Changing Zip Codes: Finding Community Wherever You're Transplanted is a devotional for movers, anecdotes pulled from 22 moves. I have a passion to help families move reminding them they will have a life and community at the other end.
A foot loose and fancy-free freelancer for fourteen years I've now settled down to a regular gig as a reporter for the Mooresville Weekly in Davidson, North Carolina.
Words define me....I love to speak to women's groups such as MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and at national writers' conferences.
Family defines me more. I have a great husband, four grown children and five grandchildren. As far as hobbies I love music and favor bluegrass. If prodded, I will produce a mandolin.
My secret dream was to become a lounge singer. But realizing that dream is a little late to happen, I've found great contentment writing stories to encourage and inspire women. So actually I've chosen the better path.
This podcast is about the power and freedom that comes with surrender. There are things in life that cannot be controlled, cannot be changed, and cannot be rushed. Frankly, they are out of our hands. LaNeka will offer insight into what it means to surrender and how it can positively impact your life. Sometimes, all that is left to do is throw your "Hands Up," not in defeat, but in surrender to God. None of us have all the answers. But guess what? We don't have to! "That's "The Power of Surrender."
