On today's show Miss Morgue (Morgan Richardson) from Transgaming guest hosts along with your Ghost Host With The Most TJ covering a topic that is beginning to get a lot of attention, subliminal message in video games. In the third and concluding volume of the satirical sci-fi trilogy, The Chronicles of Dekaydence, Mother Nature quits God. God quits Heaven. Clowns invade Heaven. Meanwhile, back on earth, Will, Ruby Q and Piccolo pursue their dreams but experience nightmares. They now realise what the Phoenix knew all along - it's not climate change ruining the planet so much as greedy, corrupt adults such as those working for the Company of Dekaydence, under the control of the ruthless Lord di'Abalo. There's a killer chocolate cake on the loose, and a strange drug that erases most anyone who gets in the way of progress. Times, they are a changin' and getting darker by the day. There's a lost mother to encounter; justice for a murdered father; and time to admit a secret love. And then there's Colin, a wild crazy liz'oid addicted to tomato ketchup, that makes the metal critters, the haggoids, Cromarty and Ross, look like cuddly toys.

It's the last show of the year and we'll be live for an after-Christmas show. My guest this week will be author Noah James Hittner. We'll be discussing his books: Something to Give Back, Beyond Victim and Villain & The Modern-Day Buddha.
The Modern-Day Buddha (MDB) is a handy reference guide which offers ten short and impactful techniques that anyone can use on-the-spot to provide a quick, wholesome, and inspiring way to travel through their day-to-day life experience. Quite honestly, it could be called a handbook for wholeness.
Each technique contains an anecdote, accessible insight, and simple suggestions for action steps. All-in-all, it was my intention that the MDB’s message be clearly conveyed in a way that is gentle, efficient, and intriguing.

This show is going to dive into some galaxies far far away, starting with Star Wars and the 5 new movies coming out over the next 5 years, also DCU bringing their movies until 2020,and what does marvel have up it's sleeve? Yep we will hit all we can in 45 minutes.
Walking the Woods and the Water: In Patrick Leigh Fermor's footsteps from the Hook of Holland to the Golden Horn:
In 1933, the eighteen-year-old Patrick Leigh Fermor set out in a pair of hobnailed boots to chance and charm his way across Europe, "like a tramp, a pilgrim, or a wandering scholar." The books he later wrote about this walk, A Time of Gifts, Between the Woods and the Water, and the posthumous The Broken Road are a half-remembered, half-reimagined journey through cultures now extinct, landscapes irrevocably altered by the traumas of the twentieth century.
Aged eighteen, Nick Hunt read A Time of Gifts and dreamed of following in Fermor's footsteps. In 2011 he began his own "great trudge"—on foot all the way to Istanbul. He walked across eight countries, following two major rivers and crossing three mountain ranges. With only Fermor's books to guide him, he trekked some 2,500 miles through Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.
His aim? To have an old-fashioned adventure. To slow down and linger in a world where we pass by so much, so fast. To discover for himself what remained of hospitality, kindness to strangers, freedom, wildness, adventure, the mysterious, the unknown, the deeper currents of myth and story that still flow beneath Europe's surface.
Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.
Author Mary Barr joins me this week to talk about her books. We'll discuss her novellas, novels & juvenile fiction titles.
From her novella The Publisher:
Each day with trust and good faith we send our beloved children off to school. We assume they arrive safely, enjoy time with their friends and learn their lessons. We think we know where they are and who they’re with. But life can change in a heartbeat, so can circumstances, places and people and, as a result we never remain the same. Change is often good, sometimes bad, but always constant. The Publisher takes you into the lives of the Smelt family. Joe, Suzanne and their two children, six year old Libby and thirteen year old Connor.
It is a normal school day just like any other, until Joe – the publisher – begins reading a manuscripts. In the manuscript he learns that his children are not at school. They have been kidnapped and are being held hostage until the ransom is paid. Each detail of what he must do is precisely laid out as another page of the manuscript unfolds. Suzanne has done someone wrong and, if she can right the situation her children will go free, if not, they will die. And so, they sit and wait for the knock on the door and the next installment of the manuscript that holds within its pages their children’s fate.

Shaken by the haunting from Conall, Paige Maddison hopes to put it behind her. When Paige’s premonitions, nightmares, and ghostly visions return, however, she realizes there is no way of getting back to the normal she once knew. Try as she might to adjust to her new life at the O’Brien Manor, dark forces begin to brew on the grounds of the haunted O’Brien estate. Paige becomes the unwilling target of the Earthbounds, anguished souls who seek revenge and retribution.
But where there is darkness, there is also light. Through an enigmatic string of events that has her questioning who she truly is, Paige soon learns that she is not only being watched over by guardians of both the spirit and mortal realms, but also being called upon by a greater power beyond her wildest comprehension. As her world is turned upside down, Paige faces a life-changing dilemma: Should she embrace her special gift and fulfill the destiny that is unfolding before her? Or will she succumb to the evil that surrounds her and deny her true identity?
There are many worlds here. Indeed, here is a novel that is written with power and excitement and … let me add … a sense of vision. — John Robert Colombo, Author and Anthologist
International Best Selling Author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif writes: “Beautifully Written, Inspiring and Moving, Destiny’s Gate questions our faith in good versus evil in a truly unique ghostly suspense for teens.”

Happy Festivus with collard greens and crumpets to our loyal listenership! Join us for a very special Grindhouse broadcast (The Comic Shoppe and Afronerd Radio at 6 and 7pm, respectively) when we welcome Jamie Broadnax from the stupendous and ever popular BlackGirlNerds.com website. Ms. Broadnax's BGN site serves as "a place for women of color with various eccentricities to express themselves freely and embrace who they are." And in perfect Yuletide fashion, not only will we discuss all things "blerdy" (from a woman's perspective) with Ms. Broadnax but we will also address additional pulp concerns: Sony's unsolicited email "hackathon is the gift that keeps giving; our impressions of the revelations from the fall finales of Arrow, SHIELD and The Flash; Comic Book Resources' The Mission column waxes about the physical changes of Amanda Waller and how that may translate on the silver screen and lastly, is there really only one Black owned comic shop (Third Coast Comics) in the U.S.? And do we need more?
And then there's Afronerd Radio at 7pm. Join Dburt and Captain Kirk as they unravel the following Luther-esque mysteries: the Ferguson aftermath spurs Black athletes to become politically active; is Geraldo Rivera correct about likening Black victimization to a form of urban suicide?; is hip hop artist, Jay-Z, the right police misconduct advisor for NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo; the new "Hands Up" anti-police rap video causes outrage and lastly, the minstrelsy continues with a new website entitled lightskinordarkskin.com that judges one's skin tone (really?). Call the hosts live at 646-915-9620. AGAIN, NOT THE SHOW TO MISS!

This week, I'll be doing my first posthumous interview. No, I won't be speaking to the author from the other side (that's another blogtalk radio category). I will be interviewing two gentlemen who knew Gary Reilly very well in life and were given the approval to seek publication for his books after his death.
When he was alive, Gary Reilly devoted his life to perfecting his writing - not seeking agent or publishers. He posthumously gave his books into the hands of Mike Keefe, a retired political cartoonist and Pulitzer Prize winner, and Mark Stevens, a former journalist and acclaimed author in Colorado, for publishing.
Of the first five titles – “The Asphalt Warrior,” “Ticket to Hollywood,” “The Heart of Darkness Club,” “Home for the Holidays” and “Doctor Lovebeads” – two hit No. 1 on the Denver area bestsellers list and two have been nominated for the Colorado Book Award.
Tune in Friday at11AM EST or listen to the archive.
