Join us for this installment of Core Wellness Radio where we get personal with Dr. E and talk to her one-on-one about why she joined physical therapy, began her own practice, and the things that are important to her when working with patients. She will also share tidbits such as the top three most common (and avoidable) issues she sees throughout the practice and simple things people can do to live pain-free. Anyone looking to learn more about Core Wellness should listen in to get a feel for who we are and how we work.
The one major component of learning is the actual ability to learn. So what is that common core "thing" that does that?
Its not a method, its not a style nor is it another way of looking at a problem. Lets take a look at what is required to bring excellence back to America!
In this episode, host Robin Masiewicz and regular guests Jamie and Gloria continue their discussion about learning to focus on one thing at a time and doing tasks more consciously. Robin talks about Zen Tasking and eliminating distractions. The group also talks about Zen driving, hypermiling, and the advent of self-driving cars.
Key points from this episode:
Focus on one thing at a time, and give it your full attention
When we try to multi-task, what actually happens is we end up switching back-and-forth between tasks, paying less attention to both.
The more you switch back-and-forth, the more time you waste and the lower your quality of work
Distractions such as cell phone and text messaging are addictive, but you can train yourself not to respond to every ping or poke.
Schedule time for yourself; give yourself some uninterrupted time to work, relax, or reflect

Dr. Chaps reports on these important issues:
* A growing number of states are canceling and opting out on Common Core education standards.
* An exclusive interview with Anita Stapleton, founder of Stop Common Core Colorado.
* Ralph Reed of the Faith and Freedom Coalition on how to mobilize churches to the elections.
Hear interview with Joan Landes, Mental Health Expert, give us her perspective on what Common Core Standards Initiative may mean for America's upcoming generation. We hear the latest from Ken Mercer (Texas State Board of Ed.) who says:
“For today’s patriots, this is our Valley Forge and our D-Day - this is the Revolution of 2014!” ...
On July 4th we witnessed nationwide patriotism honoring our Founding Fathers and the sacrifices of our courageous men and women in uniform. This must have annoyed David Coleman, the chief architect of the controversial Common Core national standards, and many of his College Board (CB) colleagues.
After drafting the Common Core English language arts standards, Coleman became president of the CB. He immediately moved to implement his Common Core standards into the Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT)."
Let's hear Joan's perspective on this Common Core movement and can it change the future of America. Learn and share for such a time as this...
Hear perspective from Ken Freeman on testing and the why's behind it and other tests. How important is Opting Out? Schools starting and throughout the nation, parents are starting to recognize their options against the Common Core. But to fight it--one must recognize what's behind it then share the truths. Hear from someone who along with Don Casey was able to get a continent to look at where they are headed through the lens of truth and common sense. Hope you can hear that too and keep this the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave and a place where American Exceptionalism is something citizens would still strive for...listen and learn for such a time as this.
How do we manage the multi-tasking efforts within a diverse field of aggression? How do fire-fighters manage their efforts? It seems the best course of action would be to create a "firebreak" or boundary to contain the fire from spreading further. Then it would be wise to neutralize the most volatile areas by removing any incendiaries or accelerants. Sometimes electrical power or the flow of air will fuel a fire and must also be eliminated. Whenever groups of people present risks for our future safety, it would seem reasonable to separate ourselves from them. We should be armed and ready to defend ourselves and our property. Any materials that may be used by our enemies, such as electric, water, and food must be curtailed or eliminated. Fighting fire with fire might be worth remembering when the time arrives.
Supreme Sense with 1SupremeGoddess = Common Core & Common Sense ..... Monday night, at 7:30pm Eastern ....
As my show's title indicates "sense" is something I value. At one point in my life the vast majority of people seemed to have what was commonly referred to as "COMMON SENSE". THAT was the "NORM" then. Sadly, the older I get the less sense, common or otherwise, people seem to have & worse as a culture, we now seem to expect people to have NO sense!
I'm always pleasantly surprise when I actually run into others that value such things the way I do & such was the case during a recent discussion I had on Common Core with tonight's special guest, Mia Koz (aka @MidwestUSATalk, Dir. of "Speak Up for Life" Pro-life org & a member of Project 21-The National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives ). We have very similar thoughts on Common Core & Common Sense, not to mention many other important issues.
So please join me & my Co-Hosts @NukNeutron & @1Anobody as we chat with our special guest Mia Koz, about current issues in general & Common Core more specifically ...
YOUR QUESTIONS & COMMENTS are ALWAYS WELCOMED & encouraged!

We WILL get through these stormy seas TOGETHER!
We all know the benefits of a good, lengthy workout but with life's busy demands, unfortunately it isn't always possible (every day). Join us as Core Wellness' Dr. Elizabeth Polis shares why a 15 minute workout can be a great one and why it's definitely better than not getting one at all. Will discuss specific workouts and resources.
