Episode 236: Best of Where are the Carriers

    in Military

    "Where are the Carriers?"

Whenever the expected unexpected happens on the globe, that is the question that is often asked first.  As our nation also faces one of its greatest budget crisis - it is also one that the budget cutters are asking as well.

What is the status of our carrier force as we approach 2012 and what possible directions are we heading?  Is the carrier more important in supporting our national strategy than it used to be, or less?  Are we buying the right kind of systems to go on and in our carriers?  Are we buying enough? How are we assessing our technology risk as we bring in new tools?

Our guest for the full hour will be J. Talbot Manvel, CAPT, USN (Ret.), presently teaching at the U.S. Naval Academy and is a frequent writer on issues of carrier issues and larger Navy policy issues.  In the course of his career he served on three carriers and led development o f the maintenance plan for the Nimitz class and design of the Ford class carriers.

The Motor City Madman of Sui Juris Law on Boxing-in Ignorant Judges w/ Neil Rowe

    in News

Join us for another AWESOME 2 hour jam sesh with our favorite legal "bad boy", Neil Rowe, Creator of the FB Group Page "Proceeding Sui Juris"

~ From doing donuts in a police parking lot as a teenager just to ask them "Why" it's illegal, to being one of the first Americans punished under the post-9/11 Patriot Act for "Terroristic Threats" against a Judge (Neil asked him how he'd like it if he "came over and kicked his ass?"). This direct challenge to abusive authority landed Neil in Federal Prison where he become one of the best self-taught legal scholars (outside of the BAR System) that we know of today.

Here's Neil in his own words: "I grew up five miles north of Eminem on eight mile, and five miles south of Kid Rock in Flint, Michigan. Same Bat Time, same Bat channel. Thats my pedigree."

Neil has a personal vendetta to expose the legal fraud and his specialty is using precise legal logic to box Judges into the corner where they either have to admit the fraud, dismiss the case or throw justice completely  out the window and simply abuse their authority by issuing an arbitrary decree.

Either way, Neil leaves them flushed and flustered and feeling the need to brush up on some of their case law precedent studies.

Neil is the author of the weekly "Rowe Regulatory Review" (found on his group page) and is currently writing a soon-to-be-released masterwork on Supreme Court Case Law that will empower the massess to take back their power and reclaim their full Sovereign status with confidence and knowledge.

Neil will be taking your questions and teaching you his very favorite "Courtroom Nuclear Options"~ NOT TO BE MISSED~!!!

Bonding Thru Books Day 7 - Vision Carriers - Hospice- Health - Caregiving

    in Books

WHAT'S ON THE MINDS OF OUR READERS?  Bonding Thru Books Festival, a totally online literary event, was created to start a national conversation about what we want our literary legacy to be. Each night, 8-10pm EST we will discuss how we can use the leaders, icons and storytellers of today, to create body of works that will assist emerging writers and authors in being more responsible with their work and positions.

Everyone has a story!  But, does that story have a purpose?  What will the people in your life say about you after you are gone? What does your story hold for future generations? Let's create a life, a story, a journey that others will want to emulate! You are important to this community and we want to hear from you too.

PURPOSE OF BONDING THRU BOOKS -  Each year thousands of people - educators, concerned parents, community leaders, authors, poets and publishers - devote their time and resources to presenting the reader with great books! However, too many outstanding books do not get the attention and reader support that they deserve. We want to help with this state of affairs, so we encourage readers to purchase books to give as gifts 365 days a year.

Authors and Publishers, visit the EDC Creations website for more book promotion opportunities:  www.edc-creations.com.

Remembering the gift of Maya Angelou

    in Travel

In what would become one of her final interviews, World Footprints enjoyed a intimate chat with "Global Renaissance Woman" Dr. Maya Angelou.  Dr. Angelou shared some wisdom, insights and stories from her incredible life's journey, including the transitional relationship with her mother Vivian Baxter.  Her mother shared messages of courage, hope, forgiveness and unlimited possibilities and those messages are what Dr. Angelou attributed to many of her life's blessings.  Dr. Angelou joined us to talk about her last book "Mom & Me & Mom" and she generously offered nuggets of wisdom for everyone.  Dr. Angelou's time with us was the most memorable interaction we've ever experienced and we greatly miss her presence.

We continue along the heart's path and take a short trip to a city that is near and dear to us--Detroit, where we share the city's great comeback and one of the greatest reinvention stories in America. Finally we chat with a dear friend, artist Michele Wood - a Coretta Scott King award-winning illustrator whose work is displayed in her book "I See the Rhythm of Gospel"
