Breaking the Chains....10,000 Strong and Counting

    in Motivation

    I have a dream...Celebrating Our Jubilee!

Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst. Civil Rights Activist marched for us, died for us and pleaded for our equality.

So what are we leaving behind for our communities today? What are we fostering in the minds of our Black children? How will we strengthen our families and our communities? How are we Leading Change?

Just over fifty years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream..." Speech debuted in Detroit and transformed a nation. Today, we are uniting to become a beacon of light and love to usher in greater transformation within our capacity to love that will impact this city. As Detroit goes, so does the nation.

Grass roots organizations, churches and community business groups are raising the bar on what's possible so we evolve in our beliefs, values and purpose for the elevation of our consciousness to enlarge what's possible for us as spirits in human form. We are encouraging each one to search their hearts and find their destiny so they can powerfully play a role in Detroit's Re-birth that causes the world to know that Love is the Power that uplifts us all and brings balance.

Today, we are sharing more on the Power of Collective Collaboration.  We are inviting women from the Detroit Metropolitan area to join us on Sunday, Oct 11th at 3pm to celebrate ourselves and our collective power so this community takes notice of our presence, and respect our requests for better schools, safer streets, equal pay, clean air, and the many causes that we all represent.

Can you imagaine having 10,000 women answering the call to support your cause to create change? This is why we are gathering. We are not a protest, a march or a rally. We are a GATHERING to collective support each other.

We are powerful, and together we rise!

    in Christianity

    Two Classic Sermons from David Martyn Lloyd-Jones (December 20, 1899 – March 1, 1981).

He was a Protestant Christian who headed much of the evangelical movement of the 20th century. He stood firm against what he saw as false liberal doctrines that had become a part of the Christian denominations of Wales and England. He believed strongly that reformed evangelical Christians ought to leave the old denominations as a protest against what he perceived to be the increasing adoption of loose, un-biblical doctrines by mainstream churches. Taken from Sermon Audio

Michael Vick, The Pittsburgh Steelers and those who can't forgive him.

    in Football

This installment of The Forbidden Fruit will ask the questions, why can't NFL fans and animal lovers forgive Michael Vick after all these years. After serving 19 months in prison and it being 6 plus years since his relesase, hasn't he paid his debt to society? We all make mistakes. Why can't he be forgiven? Do some people have more love for animals than peope? Is Michael Vick being treated as fairly as his white counterparts? Tonight on Thursday Night Football, Michael Vick starts as quarterback against much protest. We will be watching to see how much our society has grown. Some of the same people want black people to forget 300 plus years of slavery, but can't get over Michael Vick and the mistakes he made in his early 20's. If we exiled everybody who made mistakes in there teens and 20's, how many of us would be left? We'd like to know what you think on this subject.

Irate, Tireless Minority - Guest Kel Fritzi of RFB (Red Fox) Radio

    in Politics Conservative

Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.

For today's show I welcome Kel Fritzi of RFB Radio right here on Blogtalk Radio. She had planned to attend a rally in Canada only to find mayhem when she arrived.

There is a write up of the occurence at blogwrath.com here.. (The video of the rally did not work when I tried it, so here is another place to find that video.)

This was a rally intended to protest Canada accepting "refugees" from the middle east and was organized by a group called Pegida - "Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West" that originated in Germany to call for a much needed revision of Germany's laws with regard to immigration and asylum seekers. Their goals can be found on their facebook page and they are not unreasonable goals given the behavior of the "refugees" thus far. Behavior that has included rapes and assaults that have caused local authorities to caution women about going out alone or letting children go out alone in areas where refugee facilities are located.
