Tonight's guests include Victoria McCullough and John Holland, President of Equine Welfare Alliance.
With key support from Vice President Biden and congressional leaders, the defunding language was put into the omnibus bill, stopping horse slaughter being reinstated in the U.S.
"Victoria McCullough was the one who made this happen." explains EWA President John Holland, "It was the fact that Victoria, an accomplished international equestrian and CEO of Chesapeake Petroleum, was spending her own fortune without regard for any personal gain that I believe gave her the credibility to accomplish this."
In a conversation with EWA, McCullough asked that her gratitude go out to the many friends of horses in government who helped her, including VP Biden, Frank Biden, State Senator Joseph Abruzzo, Sen. Tom Harkin (IA), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz (FL), Rep. Tom Rooney (FL), Senator Mikulski (MD), Senator Mark Kirk (IL), Senator Dick Durbin (IL), Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Jessica Feingold-Lieberson and many others.

So President Obama came out TODAY and FINALLY admitted that NWA253 was in essence an attack from Al Qaeda. He also said something else quite odd, did you pick up on it? Why does Obama always throw in the “crushing poverty” implication when talking about terrorism? In fact KMC argues that he sees the “crushing poverty” more than he sees the terrorism. Is it relevant? It is to Obama… Your thoughts: 800.345.9622.
PLUS Guess who’s headed to the devil’s lair? A hellish new setting for a reality show that is to go live in January? All of the details, some of the info, and maybe even a scoop or two–exclusively on Baldwin/McCullough: 800.345.9622.
ALSO how would you like airlines to ban you if you were sick? Currently they merely encourage you to change your departure (sometimes up to $250). But what if they prevented you from traveling? Good idea? Ever worried you might catch something from another airline passenger? 800.345.9622.
ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO:
1. Stephen Baldwin has not been given a chance to weigh in on the idea of President Obama’s $200 million dollar a day trip to India, 600 hundred police agents, supported by 9 aircraft, and now a tele-prompter. Perhaps you haven’t either. Good timing? Or just a way to get his worries off being handed the worst mid-term loss in elections in the modern era? Which do you think? And don’t forget Michelle makes an exciting trip to the commercial sex workers area on Monday! Thoughts: 800.345.9622.
2. Are illegally downloaded songs worth $62,500 each? A jury in Minnesota seemed to think so. Now a mom gets hit for a bill for $1.5 million dollars for songs downloaded on her computer that she didn’t even download. Record companies are trying hard to hang on, but this smacks of absolute desperation. Fining her $200 a song would have probably had more sting. These kinds of numbers don’t put the fear of actual consequences into anyone. Chapter Eleven baby! Thoughts: 800.345.9622.
3. Also… evidently we tax-payers deserved to pony up $700,000 so some researcher could go off and compare if organically fed cow belches are less methaney than non-organically fed ones.
The ladies of I’m Every Woman will have a very entertaining and informative show with guest Mr. Alton McCullough, CEO and Designer of Beach Bling Swimwear, LLC., Charlene Lester-Allen will be stopping by to talk about her documentary project and upcoming book, "Sugar Aint Sweet No Mo", Carolyn Washington of Sisters 4 Sisters will be sharing information on her domestic violence organization and Cornell Grady of The Weight Loss Café will stop by to tell the ladies how to lose weight and keep it off.
What image comes to your mind when you hear the term 'alcoholic'? A man with a bottle under a bridge?...A woman with smeared lipstick who drinks every day, can't hold a job and doesn't take care of her kids? Unfortunately, our society has created this stigma for alcoholics and it's simply NOT true. There are more people like us than not, but many people don't get help because of this stigma and they are dying.
On this episode of The Bubble Hour we will be talking to our very special guest AnnMarie McCullough, co-founder of Faces & Voices of Recovery Canada, about what the face of an alcoholic really looks like and why it's so important that we change the way society treats this disease.
Recovery advocate Ann Marie McCullough is a maven of reinvention with a serious social conscience and a need to give back. A certified Project Manager with over 20 years experience in a variety of roles within the Healthcare and IT sectors, she now works as the Director of Communications and Community Relations at the Orchard Recovery Center. AnnMarie combined her background in project and event management with her passion for recovery to help launch the REEL Recovery Film Festival in Vancouver and initiate the first RECOVERY DAY in Canada. Her latest projects: co-hosting Vancouver's first Recovery Radio show and co-founding Faces and Voices of Recovery Canada.
In long-term recovery herself since 2008, she inspires with her energy and enthusiasm, embodying hope for others who struggle with addiction.
ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:
1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: It’s the Jakarta report… President’s trip is cut short. And hey remember that speech that President Obama made right after he became President–in Cairo–where he told muslims that the U.S. and Islam had so much in common? Evidently Michelle didn’t get the message because gall of galls – she shook hands with a muslim leader in Jakarta. Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.
2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: Trying to use the IM tool on your facebook account might just get you fired. The NYTimes reports on the realities involved in this, and how they can be avoided. Personally I think you’ve got to be allowed to have your space. – 877.572.8446.
3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT: “To talk that way makes me a stumbling block. When I stop telling God what I want, He can freely work His will in me without any hindrance. He can crush me, exalt me, or do anything else He chooses. He simply asks me to have absolute faith in Him and His goodness.“
