Salt without savor and stray sheep – how the Christian Church became powerless

    in News

Christians and Christianity have been aggressively under attack in America for well over a half-century. It should come as no surprise, then, to the Christians living in America and throughout the West that the worst is yet to come. But it did not begin that way.

It was 395 years ago today- November 11, 1620- when a document known as the Mayflower Compact was signed by a group of men intent on exercising their Christian beliefs free from governmental oppression and persecution. Christians of all denominations established settlements and all of the early American colonies were built on a foundation of Christian principles that later served as the framework of our Constitution.

The early Christian church in America was built by and around men who followed the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible served as the foundation of our early principles, and Jesus as the exemplar of our lives. It was a time when men found courage in Jesus and morality in the Word. The Holy Bible served to illuminate the path of the righteous. Therefore, God abundantly blessed our nation and the inhabitants therein.

Where are the men of God? Where are the Christians?

GUESTS: Steve Quayle & Pastor David Lankford

Irate, Tireless Minority - A Time to Give Thanks

    in Politics Conservative

Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.

What would a PC Thanksgiving be without an attempt to demonize the Pilgims?
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

More from the religion of pieces

    Doing What's Right:

Doing what's right in an age of PC revisionist history and terrorist attacks means telling the truth. The truth is that islam is a murderous, barbaric, death cult that wages war on every level upon which it is possible to wage war. The truth is that Christian values are the best platform upon which to build a stable society. The truth is that, unless individuals take responsibility for themselves and their own actions, just as in politics, that vacuum will be filled by someone or something else. Big government is not the answer. Self government, when it is directed by an abiding belief in God - by which I mean the Christian God - leads to a successful, secure and stable society, inasmuch as any society made up of human beings may be said to encompass those qualities.

Traveling through American and Namibian history

    in Travel

Today, World Footprints will explore elements of American history from small towns and historic hotels to Fort Monroe.  We'll also visit the shanty town of Mondesa which sits just outside of Swakopmund, Namibia.  There we will mingle with the locals and witness how black Namibians are preserving their history and traditions.

Fort Monroe in Virginia has been defending America since 1607 and today it remains the largest stone fortification in the United States.   Tour guide Robin Reed gives us the backstory of the Fort's rich history and the important role it has played in American history.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is on a mission to preserve and share all of America's history.  We'll share the work the organization is doing and we'll introduce two interesting historic hotels in Washington, DC--the Mayflower and the Morrison-Clark.

Small towns in America are often overlooked as tourist destinations but if you really want to experience real Americana you should go off the beaten path and visit a small town where you can uncover a treasure trove of goodies. Some of the most authentic travel experiences and unique stories can be found in small and rural towns and we will explore a few.

The beach resort of Swakopmund, Namibia is an example of German colonial architecture and culture.  However, a majority of the population of Swakopmund lives in settlements that were developed for indigenous black Namibians.  We will introduce you to some of the locals we met on a walk through the Mondesa district.

    Mayflower Arkansas

    in Politics

Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said at a Mayflower press conference Wednesday he has issued a subpoena for documents, data and other evidence from ExxonMobil pertaining to the crude oil spill that dumped thousands of barrels of oil in Mayflower last week.McDaniel complained of a headache Wednesday at the press conference at Mayflower City Hall after “limited exposure” to the rupture site in Northwoods. He said his staffers were also experiencing side effects from oil fumes, and that he was told several children at a nearby elementary school had been sent home earlier in the day after they became nauseous. “I explained to them I’m not here for a tour and I’m not getting in a van. We’re here on behalf of the State of Arkansas as the state’s lawyer, a constitutional officer empowered by the General Assembly to enforce our laws, and we’re here to conduct an investigation, not take a tour,” McDaniel told members of the press. “I didn’t appreciate how we were treated, so I can only imagine how some of the homeowners must have felt.”
