Easton, PA – Studies have shown no one therapeutic modality is superior to another; rather, clinicians themselves ultimately determine whether treatment will prove effective. It’s not about the model you’re using; it’s the relationship between the therapist and the client.
The ability to provide a safe environment for people to share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences is essential to effective counseling and nowhere is that more true than Lehigh Counseling. Led by licensed professional counselor Bill Dougherty, Lehigh Counseling provides client-centered, strength-based counseling to individuals, couples and adolescents for addiction, anxiety, career or relationships.
“I look to my clients to be the experts of themselves, which encourages them to guide the therapy where it needs to go,” says Dougherty. “What I offer is insight and that insight is a catalyst for change.”
With a background in English literature, Dougherty is unique in that he brings a decidedly post-modern perspective to his therapeutic approach. One of these concepts is known as Narrative Therapy. Dougherty encourages his clients to be mindful of the story they’re telling themselves to better utilize their strengths.
“The words we choose to use can help manifest the changes we hope to bring about,” says Dougherty. “The idea is to encourage the use of more positive words as opposed to negative words.”
Lehigh Counseling’s personalized service has proven remarkably effective in helping clients confront the challenges of their lives.
“I like watching people become who they can be. I like when people realize they’re more than who they are,” says Dougherty. “If each person can achieve balance and make their little corner of the world a little bit nicer and a little safer, it’s good for everyone.”
Lee Kurfis continued his rise from his 2012 season and led Lehigh is every receiving category. Kurfis had 99 catches for 1,351 yards and 9 touchdowns. The talented senior wideout average 122 yards per game helping the Mountain Hawks to an 8-3 overall record. Kurfis now looks to follow in the footsteps of former teammate Ryan Spadola who is in the NFL.

It’s been a wild week of sports . . . and, we’ve had a lot of fun chatting it with some terrific, knowledgeable, and humorous guests. On our “relaxed” Frat House Saturday you get a chance to hear just a few.
32 teams in the NFL, and ONCE AGAIN the only team every sports-talk radio station in the U.S. was talking about was the Philadelphia Eagles. We were joined by our “go-to” Eagles talker Jeff Warner of FOX Sports 1470-AM Lehigh Valley giving us his viewpoint on the Eagles trading Nick Foles for Sam Bradford!
Believe it or not, we actually get into a bit of “world futbol” chat and what Frat House Mike calls the “American disconnect” with international soccer. Our good buddy Eric Purdy brings us his experiences from some recent FA Cup matches and his favorite club, the Bradford City Bantams.
Last Sunday’s Race Trim MotorSports Hour was highlighted by a very entertaining chat with Benny Fry of the Racin’ Nation Radio Network talking about issues in NASCAR.
Finally, we’re hoping to catch-up with ANOTHER of our newest talkers, Nick Mandarano coming to us from Phillies spring-training, and who will be joining us as a co-host on our upcoming all-MLB Clean-up Hitters program that will debut right here on March 17th!
THIS is a Frat House Saturday program you must hear . . . and, give Frat House Mike a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!
The Frat House Sports Gang is bringing you a couple of really incredible stories in the worlds of NFL football, and FA Cup futbol with some witnesses that should have their ear to the ground.
FOX Sports 1470-AM Lehigh Valley’s Jeff Warner joins us right from the top to talk one of the wildest openings to NFL Free Agency we’ve ever seen . . . but none more than the bombs that were dropping all over the place by Chip Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Eric Purdy joins us to talk about what he witnessed with incredible run of the Bradford City AFC Bantam’s in the FA Cup . . . and provides us a primer on World Football. Don’t know much about soccer outside of the U.S.? TUNE-IN!
Finally, Frank Klose of Philliedelphia.com joins us to chat about the spring-training version of the Philadelphia Phillies; the NL East; the new pace-to-play rules; new Commissioner Rob Manfred; and, Pete Rose.
We’re covering EVERYTHING you have an opinion about . . . plus MORE, so be sure to jump in with the Frat House Gang – Frat House Mike, Uncle Mark, Sidekick, and Brandon – by giving your opinion at 347 – 826 – 9964!
We may have gotten dumped with ten inches of snow the other day but it’s feeling like Spring as we’re welcoming in Daylight Savings Time . . . and more importantly . . . MARCH MADNESS!
But we’re going to keep it “relaxed” as usual taking a look back at some of the best conversations we had on the Frat House Sports Radio Network this week like our chat with Jeff Warner from FOX Sports 1470-AM Lehigh Valley giving us his viewpoint on the Philadelphia Eagles trading the #1 2013 running back, LeSean McCoy.
Patt Leggs from NHLNFA.com is talking “frozen pond” action with just about a month remaining in the NHL; and, Leigh Klein of Five-Star Basketball Camp talked the NCAA and the controversial “Freshman Ineligibility Rule.”
PLUS, you get a chance to meet ANOTHER one of our newest talkers, Sean Heggan who will be joining us as a co-host on our upcoming all-MLB “Clean-up Hitters” program that will debut right here on March 17th!
THIS is a “relaxed” Frat House Saturday program you absolutely want to be listening to . . . and, be sure to give Frat House Mike a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!
She's Baaaack! Tune into my first, post holidays interview. Today I will be talking to Bill MacNair and Tom Power, both from Engineers Without Borders, Lehigh Valley Professionals. Bill and Tom are going to tell us about Engineers Without Borders, what they do, where they have gone and what are some of the projects that they are currently working on. Want to join them or just want to help? Tune in to find out how.
All-Patriot League First-Team selection Ross Scheuerman
Ross Scheuerman entered his collegiate career with a bang and ended it with a explosion. His true freshman season he was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year and All-Patriot League second team and the team’s Offensive Back MVP. Fast forward between another two All-Patriot second team seasons to his senior season against Lehigh at Yankee Stadium. Scheuerman carried the football 45 times for a 304-yard, three touchdown performance. He continued to impress at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl where he broke off a 51-yard run that was called back. But the week of practices proved to NFL Scouts that he was worthy of an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine.
