January Jones sadly Remembering 911
On September 11, 2010, for the nine-year anniversary at Ground Zero, Melissa spoke the names of those who passed on 9-11. She said her aunt’s name and a special message. That was live coverage presented nationally and internationally.
One of the biggest losses Melissa has had to deal with was losing her aunt, Arlene T. Babakitis on September 11, 2001. That day was a day no one will ever forget
Fox News interviewed both, Melissa and her mother, Evelyn Pettignano, for their Fox News Documentary in regards to the 10 year anniversary of September 11, 2001 for Bill O'Reilly’s, What's Happening Now.
Melissa and her mother shot a documentary film in New York City, entitled, Forever Changed 911 in Remembrance, in regards to 9-11 for ACLJ- American Center for Law and Justice.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® and fan-favorite country music artist Neal McCoy announce the upcoming CD release of Pride: A Tribute to Charley Pride: Deluxe Edition, which will be available on Nov. 3rd exclusively at all 633 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations and online at crackerbarrel.com.
Pride: A Tribute to Charley Pride: Deluxe Edition contains two exclusive bonus tracks not found on the original edition that was released in 2013 by Slate Creek Records. The album contains Neal’s versions of 13 songs made famous by the legendary Pride. Highlights include Neal performing duets with three of country music’s greatest voices. He sings “Roll On Mississippi” with Trace Adkins, “I’m Just Me” with Raul Malo, and Pride’s signature song (which earned songwriter Ben Peters a GRAMMY Award in 1972 for Best Country song), “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’” with Darius Rucker.
“I wanted to open people’s eyes about Charley and remind them of all that he has accomplished,” says Neal. “I thought the best way to do that was to just put his music out there and let people hear what great country music sounds like."
In 1981, Charley Pride was introduced to Neal after the younger singer won a nightclub talent contest in Dallas and soon hired the newcomer to be his opening act at his concerts. Neal continued to work for Pride until 1986 when he left to pursue a recording contract. Neal's hits include “No Doubt About It” , “Wink" and "The Shake." He is currently touring with Blake Shelton on the “Ten Times Crazier" Tour."

Bro. LASANA MACK was found dead in MD last week.
The "official" explanation for death was suicide, but NO ONE I know believes that.
This is a little tribute show we are putting together for him to widen his memory & legacy to those who may not have known of all the MAGNIFICENT things he was a part of and doing.
At the 25th anniversary of the SANKOFA CONFERENCE here in dc in 2014, Bro. LASANA gave a presentation (with Bro. Shango Taha) called ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC SYSTEMS--WHAT IS THE BEST APPROACH FOR AFRIKAN PEOPLE'S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT.
LASANA MACK was also a spoken wordsmith & founded the spoken word/neo-soul group called BLACKNOTES.
So in our tribute to this STRONG BROTHER, we are sharing his SANKOFA CONFERENCE presentation & interspercing it w/ 3 BLACKNOTES selections:
1st-BLACKNOTES LIVE--FELA'S GROOVE & AFRO BLUE
Within the talk, you will hear him speak of an organization he founded & was Executive Director of called APPEAL INC, which stood for ASSOCIATION of PEOPLE for PAN AFRIKANIST ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT thru LEVERAGE.
