Robert Naki-Bésh Redfeather, being ( Mashgalé Ndee ) Mescalero Apache in 1980 sought out his relatives on the Mescalero and other Indian reservations in South Eastern New Mexico and Arizona. Redfeather was trained by his Grandfather in survival, and Nagondzoog (old term) Means War/Fight/Guerrilla Warfare, Nagonlkaadí Means War/Fight/Combat -- the unique Apache brand of guerrilla warfare. Both of these were made famous by the Apache realm of powerful War Chiefs such as Mangas Coloradas, Cochise, Victorio, and Geronimo, who was a Bedonkohe Apache Leader.
In addition to his native culture, Robert Redfeather has been training in the martial arts for 48 years and is an 8th degree Black Belt. He has also been honored and inducted into several Hall of Fames across the country. Now with all this knowledge and life experiences, Redfeather is honored to pass it on through "Apache Knife Training Courses". He is also happy to pass along the history and traditions of his family and heritage, the Apache people. Redfeather, who teaches not from theory but from his life experience, is known for his training of our U.S. Military Troops, Police Officers, Native Americans, and anyone who has a desire to learn. A five-part certification course is available to enable you to teach "Apache Knife Training".

Margaret Chwialkowska is a palette knife artist in Ottawa, Canada. In her mesmerizing oil paintings, fantastical colors and dramatic textures transform familiar riverbanks into emotional soulscapes. She wants to capture the feeling of being overwhelmed by the natural, almost magical beauty of a landscape. Chwialkowska paints alla prima, blending pigments on canvas with a palette knife. This technique permits a loose, spontaneous style allowing textures to evolve naturally.Born and educated in Poland, Chwialkowska has lived in Canada since 1976 and continues to be moved by the power and richness of the North American landscape. She has painted landscapes in the Northwest Territories, Ontario’s lake country, and southern California. She wants her art to be positive, free, beautiful and romantic – something you cannot live without. She is represented by Art Galleries and her works are in private and corporate collections in Canada, US and Europe.SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD at the All Women International Art Competition at the Light Space & Time Gallery, February 2013Awarded SPECIAL RECOGNITION at the Seasons International Art Competition, Light Sapce & Time Gallery, November 2012.Awarded BEST IN SHOW at the Ottawa School of Art Holiday Art Show, Ottawa, November 2012.RECIPIENT of the VIEWER'S CHOICE AWARD at the Foyer Gallery Exhibition ACTION, Ottawa, November 2012.Awarded SPECIAL RECOGNITION at the Open International Art Competition, Light Sapce & Time Gallery, October 2012.Awarded SPECIAL RECOGNITION at the International Art Competition 'Botanicals', Light Sapce & Time Gallery, September 2012.RECIPIENT of the VIEWER'S CHOICE AWARD at the Foyer Gallery Exhibition HEAT, Ottawa, June 2012.Visit http://artistsincanada.com/margaret

I am here to uplift, encourage, praise and press with my sister
Sistas Let's Stop Hatin' On Each Other.
Ok...so I walk in and you see me. You see that my hair is done, my
outfit is fierce and I carry myself like a lady. I smile at you but
you roll your eyes at me, then, turn your head and whisper something to
your girl. Why you hatin'?
Ok ...so maybe my man and I have been having problems. And since
you've been my best friend for years I confide in you that I think he's
cheating on me. You offer your support. Until I find out that he's
been cheating on me....with you! Why would you hurt me like that?
I found your knife, girl.....it's in my back!
As women we battle daily. We battle keeping our families together,
keeping our men happy and maintaining our presence in the workforce.
With all that battling going on why in the world should we have to
battle each other?
Now I'm not saying every sistah has a knife...but some of you
do....and you know who you are.
Inferiority Complex. It makes us feel that in order to be someone
special we have to put everyone else beneath us. Are we so insecure in
ourselves that we can't feel good until we pull someone else down?
There's something wrong here. We've come to envy those who've
accomplished in their lives what we've only dreamed of having for
ourselves. And when we fear we will never be able to get what we want
- we steal it.
There is a serious self-worth issue going on here. We're in a day and
age where we should be encouraging each other and holding each other
Life is so much more than who looks the best, who dresses the best and
who makes more money. So when you see your sister going for hers let
it inspire you .... To do you. Author Unknown
13 years in to a the long war, what have re relearned, mastered, forgotten, and retained for future use? What have we learned about ourselves, the nature of our latest enemy, and the role of our nation? What have those who have served learned about their nation, their world, and themselves?
Iraq, Afghanistan, the Islamic State, and the ever changing global national security ecosystem, how are we now, and where are we going?
Our guest for the full hour to discuss this and more will be returning guest John Nagl, LTC US Army (Ret.) D.Phl, using he most recent book Knife Fights: A Memoir of Modern War in Theory and Practice as the starting point for our discussion.
