International Sunday School Luke 7:36-50 wk of 04-10-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

Robert L Deffinbaugh a pastor teacher and elder at the Community Bible Chapel in Richardson, Texas labeled Luke 7:36-50 in his online commentary ‘’Wordless Worship of an Unnamed Woman’’.

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org weekly commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Luke 7:36-50 from my home studio of the ministry’s Blogtalk Radio Show, I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher thanks for listening and welcome to the broadcast.

This anointing by a sinful woman is in Luke only. The Matthew, Mark and John’s anoints are not the same. There are considerable differences in the circumstances of their anoints to believe they are one and the same; to believer different is to think Dr. Luke changed the circumstances for a desired outcome is highly unlikely...

The narrative consists of Jesus’ response to the ‘’thoughts of Simon’’ (vv 39-47) and His response to the actions of the unnamed woman and the gossip of the dinner guests (vv 48-50). All in all, the narration demonstrates Jesus is a mind reader and a heart regulator and a forgiver of sins...

‘’For he spake and it was done…’’, Psalm 33:9

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show weekly commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Luke 7:l-10 for the week of 04-03-2016. I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher welcome to the broadcast.

Jesus heals a centurion’s servant he spake and it was done his statement to the people and the press was he found no greater faith in the federation of the Jewish people, verse 9. In verse 10 he called it and it was done, the servant was healthy at the same hour he spoke...

We know very little of the servant/slave of our text other than he was a Jew with a good report in the community, a member in the synagogue, held in high esteem by his master compelled the centurion to send for and implore Jesus to come and heal beloved slave.

This is the part of the story where Satan does his trickeration with God’s command to ‘’love one another as I have loved you’’. The enemy of God sees love as what you can get out of it where as God sees love as what you put into it. This idealistic love is in full display in the slave story of Joseph with both Potiphar and Pharaoh and with the David and Jonathan’s story...

International Sunday School Mark 14:26-72 wk of 03-20-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

‘’On the evening of Jesus of Nazareth’s death, Peter struggles with his faith that a man can live again rise from the grave, he viewed death as an end not a beginning. Satan seeks to sift him like wheat But the Savior has prayed’’, Luke 22:31-32.

Hello everyone this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org's Blogtalk Radio Program weekly commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Mark 14:29-31; 66-72 for the week of March 20, 2016. I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher. Welcome to the broadcast.

The narration is from the last night of Jesus earthly life this cup he is to drink is the reason he came into the world to be the sacrificial lamb of the Passover He sups with the Twelve in the Upper Room. The supper is the sacrament for the crucifixion; the bread is the body that was broken for us; the wine is the blood that is shed and splatted on the Mercy Seat by Him for the sinner.

After the meal was completed, he rose and washed the feets of the disciples and then they sung a hymn and went out in the night in the Mount of Olives...

Jesus was very solemn in his speech as they walked out of the Upper Room and entered into the night along the path to the Garden of Gethsemane, He said to them from Mark 14:27-28 of the Amplified Bible (AMP)

27...“You will all fall away [and be ashamed and be afraid to be associated with Me as disciples], because it is written, ‘’I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.‘’  But after I have been raised [from the dead], I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”...

International Sunday School Mark 10:17-31 wk of 03-13-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

‘’WHAT MUST I DO TO GET IT’’?  Hello everyone this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Mark 10:17-31 for the week of March 13, 2016

“What must I do to inherit eternal life?’’, is the E F Hutton’s answer to the question when the public asks ‘’HOW CAN I LIVE FOREVER?’’ it’s a public who listens in silence to know the answer. Dearly Beloved, so much is promised in that life after this death, Islam promises to her warriors, virgins if you died fighting for Allah; Christianity promises the Bride of Christ a mansion with many rooms, streets paved with gold in a land where there is no more tears...

“What must I do to inherit eternal life?’’, it is the question in verse 17 the rich young ruler ran, kneeled and asked the Good Master...

The message of verse 21 is the redistribution of wealth and discipleship. Spare yourself the grief that’s in verse 22 and give to the poor, fight for social justice, join the Christian Army become a soldier in the war on poverty and advocate for Medicare for All; for ‘’Money’’ is all that it is said to be: the root of evil or the source of hope. You chose.

It’s the root of evil of money that causes billionaires and millionaires to pool their money in government approve Super Pacs for the purpose of their privacy when they purchase politicians to oppress America’s Democracy for them so they can be a small government with lower taxes, less regulations for business and a strong military to protect geopolitical globetrotting around the world deny health care which is a human right, a government that's privatize all social services or block grant them to state and local governments so there will be less for the poor...

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show broadcasted commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Mark 9:14-29 for the week of March 6, 2016. Welcome I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher.

In solitary confinement, at a Texas prison, I fell in love with the King James’ Bible I were introduced to the book as a boy of 10 by my Momma, Lizzie. She would ask me to read it to her when she was sick and did not go to Church. I were her ‘’Grover C go to the store for me’’ errant boy...

I took to the bible like a hog takes to slop it was a red letter bible with verse by verse reference I self studied ask questions about it from others in asking others it dawn on me to go to a source who propose to know: the unit chaplain, Emmett Solomon Southern Baptist  trained.  Emmett mentored me to share the bible with my fellow inmates and teach a prison Sunday School Class . May his eternal rest be peaceful...

Class I do believe in verse 19 of Mark 9, Jesus expected to bare witness to an apostolic healing of the father’s son My initial reaction to Jesus’ word in Luke 4:23, ‘’physician heal thyself’’ was an Arnold reaction on ‘’Diff’rent Strokes’’ to one of his brother’s foolish suggestions, ‘’whatcha talkin’ bout Will?..''

In Verses 14-16. He saw and heard the scribes questioning his disciples; the crowd saw him... In verse 17-18 in the boy’s father’s response. The scribes were silence; a man from the multitude step forward and spoke, “I have brought unto thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit...''

International Sunday School Leviticus 23:33-43 wk of 02-21-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

“And the Lord spake unto Moses saying....’’

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show broadcasted commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Leviticus 23:33-43 for the week of February 28, 2016.

Welcome I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher; with our bibles and books open to Leviticus 23:33 “And the Lord spake unto Moses saying, Speak unto the  children of Israel saying , the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord’’.

189 animals were sacrificed during this week of celebration; the feast was to begin ‘’when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land’’, verse 39; and conclude with a holy convocation in verse 36; during these seven days the people were to eat, live, sleep and worship in booths or huts made with boughs (Neb. 8:14-18) or branches of palms, willows,or other native trees, verse 42. It served as a reminder of the way in which the Israelites wandered about in the wilderness after the Exodus, living in tents and temporary shelter. God had provided for them by bringing them out of Egypt and through the wilderness, verse 43. Thus, the Feast of the Tabernacles marked the climax of the religious year when a thankful people enter fully in the anticipated promises, resting fully in the God who hands supplied their need. Glory be to God!

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Radio Show commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Leviticus 16:11-19 for the week of February 21, 2016. I am Grover Weaver the Minister and the Sunday School Teacher. Welcome to the broadcast.

God did not use Aaron until after He had took his two son’s life for ‘’offering strange fire before the Lord’’.

‘’...Nadab and  Abihu, Aaron’s son, took their censer, and put fire therein and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not’’ in Leviticus 10:1...

My heart was filled with mixed emotion at the death of the conservative’s most power and influential member of society. I was not sad but I did not think I should rejoice at this passing but I could not help but feel God had moved him out of the pathway of prosperity for poor people as he did in Isaiah’s life, in Isaiah 6:1, ‘’In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord’’ v8 builds on that premise, ‘’Also I hear the voice of the Lord, whom shall I send,  and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me’’. So we see God can move things around to make a thing come to pass...

As I said I did not know whether to grieves but I certainly could not mourn the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States who died Saturday in the bed of a billionaire at a fix time of 1pm February 13th at a 5 star resort in West Texas Billionaire John Poindexter is the owner of the resort who in the past had done business before the court...

International Sunday School Exodus 12:1-14 wk of 02-07-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson for the week of 02-07-16 from Exodus 12:1-14; the theme,Jesus is our Passover. I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher. Welcome,

Exodus 12:1-14 the scripture verses of this text is a narration of God creating a path to earth for the Slain Lamb to enter the earth and to redeem man from the penalty of sin, ( Rev 13:8). This slain lamb was slain at the foundation for this very purpose. Thus, the Passover and the Feast of the Unleavened Bread covered in Exodus 12:1-28, is the type of Christ our Redeemer.

The lamb was to be without blemish and to test; it was to be kept for four day as our Lord’s public life was tested under the hostile eyes of the Pharisees and the Sadducees to prove his holiness. The lamb thus tested was to be slain. The blood is to be applied individually...

The Feast of the Unleavened Bread typified an “I am” statement, “I am the Bread of Life. The statement is the foundation of the ancient supper which the Lord’s Table is prepared upon, it is the Eucharist, the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist  Matthew 26:26-28 is established upon I am the Bread of Life...

International Sunday School Numbers 28:16-26 wk of 02-14-16 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org commentary of the International Sunday School Lesson on Numbers 28:16-26 for the week of 02-14-2016. Welcome...

    PRAISE HIM

The more I studied the verses that are the establishment of the Passover in the whole of the Bible, Numbers 28:16-26, is clear to me this is a celebration the Church will do forever. Luke 22:7-20 places Christ, in the Upper Room on the night before his death making the statement, I will not partake of the Passover again until I can have it in my Father’s house with my disciples. When we sup at the Lord’s Table in my absence do it in Remembrance of Him.

Numbers 28-29 set out the type and number of sacrifices that were offered on every day of the year by the priest for the children of Israel. This was the offerings to be made by a priest; a layman could offer as much and as many sacrifices for sin, impurity or vows as he choose, according to the dictates of his conscience, as long as it’s given with a ‘’willing heart’’...

The tree of knowledge of good and evil that God put it the midst of man he was not to eat of it in Genesis 2:17. He he told man if you do you shall surely die; Satan came alone in 3:4 and said, to the woman, ‘’you shall not surely die’’.

There are three deaths in the Bible, physical death, separation of body and spirit; spiritual death, separation of the individual from God; and eternal death, the final estate of the lost person in the ‘’lake of fire’’ (Rev 20:10,14; termed the ‘’second death,’’ separation from God forever).

This is what the Passover in Numbers 28:16-26 were to fix the prevention of the second and third death.
