Join Holly Stephey as she talks to Ed Kleinman who in his words "This is my journey from listening to the bands of the mid 1950's to working with bands in the 60's and 70's. It is filled with stories regarding musicians in a time where the music industry was changing as quickly as the social and political climate."
One tells a story of days gone by. A flash of your history, a snapshot of an instant.
Be it a minute, an hour, a day, or a year, it matters none.
Something jogs your brain cells where past history is stored.
You smile, and you think you have something worth telling.
*Ed Kleinman’s story chronicles his 18 years in the music industry from 1966 to 1984. He started as a part-time roadie making just enough money to buy cigarettes and put gas into his car. Eventually, he was able to hang out with musicians and tell lovely young ladies, “I’m with a band. You wanna meet one of ‘em?”
It tells how he was able to form his own entertainment company until he left the business world of rock and roll.
Those years brought a great deal of change to the music world and to all corners of society. The youth fought for equality for all, protested the Vietnam War and marched against it. The music got stronger, more political and more active in supporting change.
The 18 years he had in the music industry helped him further his career and enrich his sales force development role.
Join him as he reminisces and relives his rock and roll journey.
I'll be highlighting tracks from the Compilation Disc Maximum Rock and Roll Awareness which features unsigned acts from the MN area. I'll also be taking in submissions from other local artists to accompany these tracks so if you want to be heard on this weeks show email your submissions to email@example.com via high quality MP3 format

Dance With Bipolar is a new radio blog series that views bipolar from a positive perspective. The name of blog was chosen for two reasons: 1. Similar to the contestants who put forth much effort to perform in the TV hit show Dancing With the Stars, those with bipolar and their effort put forth are “stars” every day of their lives to survive the hurt from people who don’t understand them and the deep pain from the illness itself. 2. Similar to dance, bipolar has many different rhythms such as chemical, sleep, and mood rhythms which all effect behavior. The purpose of the show is to embrace bipolar in a positive ways by utilizing problem solving, mindfulness and truth to develop new rhythms of behavior. This show is also for friends and family members to understand bipolar rhythms and learn to interact in positive ways to strengthen relationships. Meg Dog, Bipolar Specialist, and Doc, a NJ psychologist, invite you to dance with spirit of bipolar to learn, live and love. And believe, “ You are a star to survive your worst day, and we are all grateful that you did.”

On this Episode of The JCHC Slam and Dance Show I share an interview that I had the week before with two members of Sons of Rachel, Mark Main and Phillip Antonucci.
Sons of Rachel blend real rock and roll, the way it was meant to be... Loud, hard, and rockin'. Sons of Rachel rolls with the One True God, Jesus Christ, and makes no apologies for it. Hard rock roots and punk influences... good stuff! For fans of Alterboys, Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Ramones, Motley Crue and the Alarm.
Amongst sharing about themselves and the band, discussing some of the changes in the music industry from the 80's/90's compared to now and good places to go eat out on tour, you'll also get to hear what it was like for them to open for Stryper. Overall you'll get to hear them share about their faith in Jesus Christ.
In amongst that we will play some good old rock n roll, mixing it up with some punk and metal for flavor.
