    Jazzy Vegetarian Season 3 with Dr. Pam Popper!

    Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian is celebrating the May 1 2013 launch of Season 3 of Jazzy Vegetarian on national public television. Laura welcomes Dr. Pam Popper who is featured again in each episode of the television series. Dr. Popper will talk about many of the fruits and veggies featured this season and Laura will share a ‘sneak peek’ recipe from the series! Season 3 of Jazzy Vegetarian launches nationally on May 1, 2013 via public television stations across the US (check your local listings). After two highly successful seasons, Jazzy Vegetarian returns this season to highlight delicious and easy-to-prepare plant-based recipes, inspired by classic favorite American dishes. Menus include: shish kebabs, burger and fries, spaghetti and ‘wheatballs,’ along with decadent desserts like blueberry ‘cheeze’cake and black forest pecan pie – all vegan of course!!!!  Look for the companion cookbook to this season: Jazzy Vegetarian Classics: Vegan Twists on American Family Favorites.     Today Laura Theodore the Jazzy Vegetarian welcomes Gene Baur who is co founder and president of Farm Sanctuary, America’s leading farm animal protection organization. Gene Baur has a new book, Living the Farm Sanctuary Life: The Ultimate Guide to Eating Mindfully, Living Longer, and Feeling Better Every Day, that will be released on April 7, 2015, and is currently available for preorder online.


    Gene has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement” by TIME magazine.  For 25 years he has traveled extensively, campaigning to raise awareness about the abuses of industrialized factory farming and our cheap food system.  His book, entitled Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food, was published by Touchstone in March 2008 and has appeared on the Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe best-seller lists.
