Today we welcome to the show another actor who surpasses the bar of brillance. He is James Quinn, and his range in roles is mindblowing. One minute he is a zombie, and in the blink of an eye, sheriff of a small town. He is real and raw, his performances possess true passion for his craft. He is also a comical character both on and off the screen, a quality I always personally admirer in a character actor. Please join us today for some fun and frolic!!
Songwriter and Recording Artist JAMES HOUSE co-wrote Grammy Nominated Country Song of the Year “Ain’t That Lonely Yet” (recorded by Dwight Yoakam) and CMA Nominated Song of the Year “A Broken Wing” (recorded by Martina McBride) along with another smash hit "In A Week Or Two” (recorded by Diamond Rio).
Other artists to record his songs include Tina Turner, Olivia Newton-John, Rod Stewart, The Mavericks and Sara Evans - to name just several.
Born & raised in Sacramento, California, James pursued music in L.A. before making the move to Nashville in the late 1980s. Not long after the move, he was signed to MCA Records, where he began a string of chart hits like “Don’t Quit Me Now” and “Hard Times For An Honest Man.”
A switch to Epic Nashville produced the critically-acclaimed Days Gone By album and yielded the top 5 hit “This Is Me Missing You,” and top 20 singles “Real Good Way To Wind Up Lonesome” and “Little By Little.”
His latest album is entitled Songwriters Serenade. It features 10 songs co-written with James by some of the most successful songwriters in country music. One of the most talked about tracks has James singing the duet "Over Getting Over You" with newcomer Natalie Noone (daughter of famed founder/member of the Herman's Hermits, Peter Noone).
Join hosts Tom Riddell and guest co-host Bobbi Hughes-Millman as they welcome author James McAllister to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as James discusses what it's like to be a writer and he will also talk to us about his book: THE TURRET

Autumn, The Play Inspired by the Newark NJ Mayors Cory Booker and Sharp James!
SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2015 EXCLUSIVE: MNN's "The Gist of Freedom" Interviews of Richard Wesley and cast members! Mr. Wesley an Award-winning Playwright and Screenwriter talks about his new play, "Autumn"!
Richard Wesley, whose hits include "Uptown Saturday Night" and "Let's Do It Again" which starred Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby and "The Mighty Gents" which went to Broadway.
"Autumn," an absorbing new drama by Richard Wesley that probes the fragility of political legacies and human relationships, premieres at Crossroads Theatre Company April 23 through May 3.
"Autumn" is the first full-length stage play, since the premiere of Wesley's acclaimed work, "The Talented Tenth," in 1989, which looked at the lives of a group of Howard University graduates who were part of an emerging Black elite.
“I began thinking that there was a new generation of post-civil rights movement politicians emerging that was very different from the generation that came of age during the civil rights movement,” Wesley said. “There was a group of old-school politicians who found themselves wrapped up in political scandals; and right behind [them] were these younger politicians who were moving up.”
Since 1995, Wesley has been an associate professor of dramatic writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he served as chair of the Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing for eight years. He is a former vice president of the Writers Guild of America, East.
Crossroads Theater Company is located at 7 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick. For tickets, call (732) 545-8100 or purchase online at crossroadstheatrecompany.org.
Following a six year dream, SC State University alumnus, James T. DeShay’s, ‘83, latest project has finally come to fruition. DeShay is delighted to announce the launch of his latest poetry book, ‘Thoughts, Love & Reflection’. The book is a beautiful display of poetry in which the true emotional depth of men is showcased. Proving that men are able to convey their deepest feelings without fear of being seen as weak, DeShay’s natural talent for moving his readers is evident within every page. “It is my desire to share my thoughts in a way that will benefit all races and genders. I want to dispel a lot the misnomers related to men,” explains the Orlando, Fla. native. He continues, “Stereotypes are a simple way of placing people inside a box; but sometimes the information belief is inaccurate and destructive. When stereotypes are used exclusively, they service only to deny people the wonderful opportunity to discover uniqueness of humanity.” DeShay sincerely hopes that his book will serve to destroy the ageold stereotype that men cannot share or communicate their deepest thoughts. Each page will also serve as an enriching journey into male thoughts relating to life, joy, love, happiness and reflection. “Readers will be able to free and embrace their own emotions, while taking a journey into the emotions of those around them.
