Deepertruth: The Eucharistic Miracle Of Santarem 1247 (7:00 P.M. Central)

    in Religion

    A Bright Light

With some eucharistic miracles, the host emits a bright light. In 1247, for instance, a woman in Santarem, Portugal, was concerned about her husband’s faithfulness. She went to a sorceress, who promised the woman that her husband would return to his loving ways if the wife would bring a consecrated host back to the sorceress. The woman agreed.  At Mass, the woman managed to obtain a consecrated host and put it in a kerchief, but before she could return to the sorceress, the cloth became bloodstained. This frightened the woman. She hurried home and hid the cloth and host in a drawer in her bedroom. That night, the drawer emitted a bright light. When her husband saw it, the woman told him what had
happened. The following day, many townspeople came to the house, attracted by the light.

The people reported the events back to the parish priest, who went to the house. He took the host back to the church and put it in a wax container where it continued to bleed for three days. The host remained in the wax container for four years. One day when the priest opened the tabernacle door, he saw that the wax had broken into numerous pieces. In its place was a crystal container with the blood inside.

The house where the miracle took place was converted into a chapel in 1684. Even today, on the second Sunday of April, the incident is re-enacted in the Church of St. Stephen in Santarem. The reliquary that houses the miraculous host rests above the tabernacle in that church, and it can be viewed year-round from a set of stairs behind the main altar.

Program Summary: Nov. 1, 2014  “Unwelcome Guests” (recorded Aug. 9, 2014) Program Description: We begin with a new speaker to the show, Douglas Valentine, author of The Phoenix Program, a book on the CIA's deliberate terrorization of civilians as a political strategy. He explains that the CIA had pretty much a free hand to operate the "Pheonix program", developing methods of terrorizing civilian populations in Vietnam, and that these strategies were later rolled out across South America in the 1970s. Unsurprisingly, he suggests, a bunch of the same people were either personally involved, or trained the perpetrators. He names in particular Ted Shackley, who was made head of the CIA's western hemisphere division in 1973 and stacked the higher echelons of the CIA with those who had run the Phoenix program, and had them "direct their attention" to all of Latin America. The result was a series of brutal coups and repressions throughout the region. ...  In our second hour, we return to the interview with Sibel Edmonds, who continues by narrating a major incident in Northern Iraq referred to by the Turkish media as the "hood event": following a (still undisclosed) tipoff, some Turkish terrorists were, quite literally, bagged by some unsuspecting US forces. They appear to have been Turkish military generals engaged in an operation organized by Turkish Operation Gladio operatives against the Kurds, and the hurried intervention from high levels of the US power structure suggests that they were engaged in a false flag terror operation under Gladio/B.

How to Slay an Absolute Giant and You (1 Samuel 17)

    in Christianity

One of the most famous chidren's stories from the Bible is the story of David and Goliath. The most remarkable part of this story is that it's true. God proves through David that with faith and righteous indignation associated with the holiness of God, anything can be accomplished.

1 Samuel 17:48-51a New King James Version (NKJV)

48 So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. 49 Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it."

Holiday Greetings From The Live After Dark Crew! What Christmas Means To Me.

    in Romance

Having just giving thanks... at THANKSGIVING, we now turn our seasonal spirit towards Christmas. As black friday blurs into hurried days of shopping, and left over turkey is now but a far distant memory. Without missing a beat we turn dutifully towards the rituals of years big end. Splashes of colors blink in the night, as scraps of wrappings and pine needles are forecasted ahead. As soon as December starts... It is almost gone. Before the thought of it's arrival and it's meaning... really gets to hit us. It is already here.

    So much to do.... and...

    So little time.

Hardly time for a thought right now about the fast approaching New Year. Those seven days after Christmas are for that! That of course, and returns!

Let's get LIVE AFTER DARK...tonight, our first weekend in the Decemer wind down. Let's get seasonal, and reflect upon the highlights and cheer of the season. And, discuss 'What this time of year means to each of us'.

    Come On!

    LET'S GET LIVE!!!!!

    Happy Holidays...

    Celebration of the Lord's Supper

    in Religion

Luke 19:1-1019:1 He entered Jericho and was passing through it.19:2 A man was there named Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was rich.19:3 He was trying to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was short in stature.19:4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, because he was going to pass that way.19:5 When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today."19:6 So he hurried down and was happy to welcome him.19:7 All who saw it began to grumble and said, "He has gone to be the guest of one who is a sinner."19:8 Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, "Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much."19:9 Then Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham.19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost."
