    Learning How to Love Others

    in Spirituality

Mark 12:31 tells us to "Love our neighbor as yourself." The Bible also tells us that we should love and pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44) but loving others isn't always easy, esspecially when other people are different than us, ridicule us, lie on us, betray us, take advanatge of us, etc. Loving others may even seem foolish to some people--"How can you not hate them after what they did to you? Are you a glutton for punishment?!" Loving and forgiving others doesn't mean that you are condoning that's person's actions; you are simply not allowing that person's actions or character to affect you. God continues to love us in spite of the things we do but He wants us to change and He doesn't  want us to keep holding onto bitterness when He tols us to cast our cares on Him. Tune in and find out what prevents you from loving others and what you can do to change.

Why do we get attached to things people and outcomes?

We get so attached to our possessions and everything we do. We get attached to our own perceptions and understanding, the way we do things, to places, to outcomes, not to mention our attachments to our expectations  of  the many people close to us  in our lives, not knowing that all of our attachments will only bring us distress, sadness and grief.

We become attached to people and things because it serves a perceived need which, we think, if attained will complete us somehow.

Good and bad" aren't really good concepts to label attachments. Let's just say that attachment is non-productive. All things arise due to causes and conditions, are changing andvery temporary. All sentient beings want true happiness, however, happiness cannot come about by being attached to anything which will ultimately no longer serve you.

Since the goal of all sentient beings is to be happy, attachments to things that don't really bring true happiness is not logical at all.   Nothing in life is permanent, it doesn't last. Attachment to anything which isn't permanent means that eventually you will lose it, which would ultimately lead to suffering.

Join me Janice Clarke, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Nutritional Consultant, Reiki Practitioner and HOST OF THE SOULFUL HEALING TALK SHOW as we discuss what exactly is attachment and all the things we attach ourselves to so we can feel happy.  And how we can live happy and fulfilling lives without experiencing the grief of attachment.

Another Powerful ME TIME all geared to enrich our lives...Catch you then...One Love~

I Love Myself: Developing A Deeper Love With The Creator and Self

    in Spirituality

This week we will be discussing the most important relationships you will ever have -- your relationship with the Creator and the relationship you have -- with yourself.

Your relationship with the Creator allows you to grow and expand into the deepest parts of yourself. Master Teacher Dr. Mitchell Gibson teaches that the spirit inside each and every one of us is a part of the body of the Creator. The day we truly realize that there can be no separation, will be a day of great awakening for each of us.

If you do not love yourself, how can you truly love anyone else? Love of self allows you to love and appreciate every part of your life experience.

It sounds like an easy concept, but have you truly taken the time to honor who you are?

How often do you take the time to do the things that bring you joy?  Are you able to look in the mirror and find all the thingsl yourself the things that make you unique and beautiful?  Do you recognize and appreciate your gifts and talents?

"One of the most difficult things to learn in life is to love yourself. Once you achieve this level of love you no longer need validation from anyone else. self love actually allows you to love others more easily." Acharya Kathy Gibson.

Join us Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 11 AM Eastern as we learn more about developing a deeper relationship with the Creator, loving and honoring ourselves, and explore the greatest love we will ever know in the Spirit of Love.
