Listen as I talk to Joe Cruz, who is one half of the Cruz brothers duo that runs the "Hoops In The Sun" basketball league, which is located on Orchard Beach in Bronx, NY. We discuss the league itself along with other topics such as playground basketball's impact and whether or not, the various leagues across New York City view each other as competition. Please sit back, relax and enjoy the interview!

Dylann Storm Roof, pulled the trigger, but who ultimately killed the members of Emmanuel AME Church?
The man accused of killing nine inside a black church wore pro-apartheid flags, made a ‘lot of racist jokes,’ and ‘wanted to start a civil war.’
Police arrested Dylann Storm Roof hours after he allegedly killed nine people at an historic black church in Charleston. Roof, 21, is from Lexington, South Carolina, and was taken into custody in Shelby, North Carolina. At a press conference, Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen said a citizen’s tip led police to Roof’s car. Mullen refused to comment on whether Roof admitted to the shooting but said the suspect was cooperative.

What are the consequences to encouraging or allowing your kids to do things before they're old enough to understand them or process them?
Is growing up your kids too early a way of taking away their innocence? Do we live out our fantasies through our children sometimes? Is it right for us to do that? Do we set our kids up for trouble by letting them experience things that we may have had to wait to experience when we were their ages? What about when we let them experience things that we did experience at their ages even though it got us into trouble at their ages?
In your opinion, what is the right age to let your kids:
Smoke weed or experiment with drugs
Get into a serious relationship
Get on birth control
Travel on their own
Drive a car
Experiment with weapons
Manage their own money
Stay home alone
Wear high heels
Purchase things for a girlfriend or a boyfriend
Get a job
Hang around with teenaged parents
Do we allow our kids to grow and learn independently or do we navigate them through their young lives and and keep them safe?
