Last Thursday we had an intense discussion covering police brutality. We discussed how Civilians not only have "Rights" but also "Responsibilities" you can't expect one without the other. Further, you can't exercise your rights if you don't actually know them. Finally, every punch, choke hold, Taser attack, and gun shot from a police officer is NOT Police Brutality! Those leather holsters and duty belts that hold a number of weapons and tools are not for decoration. They are to be used whenever necessary to control and manage situations. Handcuffs aren't made for comfort and a choke hold is not meant to be affectionate so every video you see of a police officer doing their job to preserve the law while also protecting and defending their own safety is NOT Police Brutality.
Police Brutality IS however, as Revolutionary and Activist Christina Stockbergerand a number of callers so raw and richly defined it: A criminal act by deviant thugs in uniforms with weapons, and government authority to wreck havoc in communities. Using excessive, and/or cruel or brutal force more than is necessary to control a situation. When using guns, Tasers, batons, and forms of intimidation such as guns, rape, threats etc. beyond the call of duty. Police Brutality is also often fueled by racist beliefs and hatred
Join us for Part 2 as we finish this discussion and gain the perspectives of police officers and past victims.

What’s black and blue and crooked all over? The New York Police Department (NYPD). And after years of flashing their shiny badges and guns into the faces of innocent black men, destroying family and community structure with the war on drugs, and instilling fear by implementing “Stop & Frisk,” there’s isn’t much room for error on the black man’s part as he meanders through life as law enforcement’s hobby and worst fear. Who you gonna call? Not the NYPD.The police have maimed and killed our young and old, falling back on false claims, little evidence, and assumptions that justify their actions. And with no consequence, new throngs of police are coming out of the academy with the same perspective…and permission…that aided in the wrongful deaths of Amadou Diallo, Sean Bell, Patrick Moses Dorismond, and most brutality, the beating and sodomizing of Abner Louima. All of which have sent clear messages to black men. Don’t pull out your wallets. Dare to be intoxicated in public. Make sure you don’t try to break up a fight. And fu ck it…just don’t have black skin. Period. You might get shot at 41 times. These are all examples of the NYPD’s war on black men, but each police department or law enforcement agency around the nation has done their part throughout history to ensure that black communities distrust them, so much so that an innate fear of flashing lights, black boots, gold badges, and gun holsters shake the core even when a crime is not committed. On this weeks installment of Training Ground we will take a look at tactical clothing and accessories. Whether you are preparing for a 3-gun competition, the Zombie Apocalypse or are just looking to look tacticool on the range... from slings, holsters, load bearing equipment and hydration accessories to hard and soft body armor, there's gear out there to meet every need.
Hybrid holsters are a modern combination of leather and polymer that have been designed to be the optimal concealed carry holster. The gun is fitted in custom Kydex or other type of polymer on one side with soft, comfortable leather on the body side of the holster. This hybrid design gives concealed weapon carriers the best of both worlds in terms of safety and comfort. This type of holster has become extremely popular over the past few years.
With hybrid holsters, the carrier is protected from sharp edges from the weapon or hard plastic holster, while the gun is also protected from body sweat. While this creates a comfortable option for concealed carry holsters, some argue that this comfort is gained at the expense of draw speed. Hybrid holster makers are working to develop holsters that optimize both comfort and accessibility. Some options include trimmed leather or synthetic fabric backing.
As with any style of holster, the choice comes down to personal opinion. There will always be those who love the hybrid holster for their comfort, while others insist that a handgun’s presence should be comforting rather than comfortable. For the average concealed weapon carrier, a hybrid holster is a welcome option offering a good balance between comfort, safety, and accessibility.
Some factors you may want to consider when deciding if a hybrid holster is right for you include typical wardrobe, body shape, and accessibility preferences. For an IWB inside waistband holster, you need to be certain that your clothing will cover your weapon. Since a concealed weapon must legally remain completely concealed, be certain that this option will work for you before purchase. Consider your personal needs and preferences before deciding if a hybrid holster is right for you.
On this week's installment of Training Ground we will continue our discussion about the defensive use of handguns by taking a look at the techniques and equipment options available for carrying your firearm openly, or under concealment. Various carry techniques require specific equipment and we'll take an indepth look at belts, holsters, magazine pouches and other allied gear suitable to support your carry method of choice.
On this week's installment of Training Ground we will continue our discussion about the fundamentals of marksmanship including the correct use of various types of sighting systems and the importance of training for, and exercising proper trigger control. With the fundamentals firmly established, we'll start taking a look at hardware choices including firearms, ammunition and allied equipment such as belts, holsters and magazine pouches suitable for those who carry handguns for defensive purposes.
Kydex holsters are the best option when it comes to matters of safety and security. For both personal purposes, and for organizational benefits, the kydex holsters are durable, affordable, colorful, and they can be worn with jeans, with tough fabrics, or even with long trousers. The basic features of the kydex holsters include:
· They can be carried comfortably, and they look stylish with the black and rubber design, and the tough external shield coating.
· These holsters can be concealed from the public view very easily, and they are one of the finest products made in USA.
· There are multiple varieties like the normal and the standardized one for the regular use, and the micro carrying holsters for some lethal weapons which can be used by the enforcement squads or the detective departments for emergency actions.
