    Alqaanitat Show

    in Religion

As-Salaam alaikum. As we enter into a new day after Salatul Maghrib, it means today is already Saturday, 12th of Rabi'ul Awwal, the birthday of the Best of Mankind, the one sent by our Lord, Allah, The Most High as Mercy, not only to human beings of planet Earth, but to the entire Universe, Muhammad Al-Mustapha, the Chosen One, (SAWS). Co-incidentally, 13th,14th and 15th of every Hijra Month are 3 days highly recommended for intensive prayer and fasting by Rosulul-Laahi (SAWS), i.e. this coming Sunday - Teusday. Tonight on this show, we want to remind ourselves of this all-important Sunnah and encourage ourselves to be among those who dare to revive the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet at a time when the world is plagued with disbelief, Godlessness, unprecedented all- time-high crime rate, shamelessness, broken homes, poverty, diseases, glorification of witchcraft and all kinds of evil....the list is almost endless. Let's dare to be different so we can become priviledged and favoured and blessed citizens of Al-Jannah - a special Paradise prepared for the devotees of Allah (SWT). Our Leader and Guide tonight is Imam Abdus-Semii' Tadese, Director of Religious Affairs of the Islamic University Center.

Also join us to pray for the repose of the soul of our mother, Alhaja Balqis Omolara Opeyemi Brown, the mother of our father in Islam, Attorney O.J Lawal. May Almighty Allah bless her soul and grant her Jannatul Firdausil A'ala. Ameen. Welcome to the show

‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “After Adam (upon him be peace) happened to commit the sin, as a result of which he was transferred from heaven to earth, he used to spend all of his time weeping, praying and repenting. Once he looked up towards the sky and prayed, “O Allah! I beg You by the right of Muhammad.” “Who is Muhammad?” came the enquiry through Divine revelation. He replied, “When you created me, I saw the words la ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasuulullah written on Your Throne, and since then I believed that no human being is superior to Muhammad.” It was revealed, “He is to be the last of the Prophets, and will be your descendant. If he were not to be created, you would not have been created.” At-Tabraani, Al- Haakim, Abu Na’eem and Al-Bayhaqi

Allegations and Objections Against The Prophet of Islam

    in Islam

Many years ago, I read a brief note in a newspaper on Arnold Toynbee's A Study of History. The note commented that the famous British historian had presented a unique philosophy of history based on the analysis of the development and decline of many civilizations of the world. Toynbee's critical and philosophical Study, a voluminous work, also contained his understanding of the historical role of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (May peace and blessing of God be on him). Toynbee asserted that the Prophet of Islam discharged his sublime and purely prophetic duties in Makkah but after Hijra he abandoned his prophetic mission in Madinahh and his spirit succumbed to secular temptation of becoming a political monarch, being an Arabian Caesar. That note pertaining to Toynbee's unfounded and utterly false allegations against the noble person of the Holy Prophet of Islam got stuck in my mind and I decided to refute it whenever God granted me an opportunity. The Eastern religions and superstitions (Egyptian, Syrian, Persian) appealed to many in the Roman world and found numerous votaries. The fatal fault of many of these creeds was that in many respects they were so ignoble ...When Christianity conquered Caesarism at the commencement of the fourth century, it, in its turn, became Caesarised. No longer was it the pure creed which had been taught some three centuries before. It had become largely de spiritualised, ritualised, materialised .......How, in a few years, all this was changed, how, by 650 AD a great part of this world became a different world from what it had been before, is one of the most remarkable chapters in human history .... This wonderful change followed, if it was not mainly caused by, the life of one man, the Prophet of Mecca ...
