Time to Reconsider the Death Penalty? Harry Reid to Retire...Hooray!

    in Politics Conservative

The death penalty debate is in the news again. While the right has traditionally been pro-death penalty and the left against it, the lines are beginning to blur. Liberals have long characterized death penalty supporters as hypocritical because they are anti-abortion but pro-death penalty. Others say the death penalty is not a deterrent to crime and that many are wrongly convicted and sentenced to death. A group called Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty (CCATDP) is selling the merits of an anti-death penalty position. Marc Hyden of CCATDP will call in to discuss a number of death penalty stories in the news and explain the group's platform. Also...Harry Reid announced this week that will not seek re-election to the Senate from Nevada. We look back at Reid's record of hyper-partisanship, character assassination, and questionable ethics.

National Polls Show Historic Declines in Support for Death Penalty

The FBI has no desire to publicize the number of people killed by cops. After all this is the same government entity that has shot 150 people, and cleared themselves in every single case. Even in the case that resulted in the US taxpayers having to fork over $1.3 million to the victim of an FBI shooting, it was deemed justified. If the government wanted to disclose accurate numbers, they could. It isn’t difficult. Apparently, literacy is not a requirement to work for the FBI because they certainly aren’t reading the papers.

Friday FARcast: Google, Transhumanism, & Occult Apocalypse with Isaac Weishaupt

    in Paranormal

In 2012, Google hired researcher, inventor and all around big brain, Ray Kurzweil.  Kurzweil has been a Moses of the virtual relams, prophesying "The Singularity," a moment in the future, where artifical intelligence outstrips human intelligance with Ai thus becoming conscious of itself.  Shortly after Google hired Kurzweil, they began to buy best of breed robotoics and cyber intelligence companies.  To date, Google's motto has been, "Don't do evil."  Google founder, Larry Page has expressed that this quaint little coloquialism might be a tad out of date and somewhat limiting to the current state of Google.

On today's show, we'll be talking with Isaac Weishaupt, who is an independent researcher, leveraging over 20 years of study into conspiracy theories, symbolism, and how they relate to popular culture. He uses his background in systems engineering to guide his curiosity as he explores theories and occult symbolism on his website, IlluminatiWatcher.com.

He's  authored several books on these subjects- from his Stanley Kubrick film analysis "KUBRICK'S CODE", to the beginner's guide to conspiracies "A GRAND UNIFIED CONSPIRACY THEORY: THE ILLUMINATI, ANCIENT ALIENS, AND POP CULTURE", and also the hip hop conspiracy book "SACRIFICE: MAGIC BEHIND THE MIC".

He is also the author of; "THE TRANSHUMAN AND OCCULT APOCALYPSE: HOW GOOGLE WILL "SOLVE THE PROBLEM" OF HUMANITY" which makes him the perfect candidate to pull back the curtain of Google and Ray Kurzweil.

Please join us for two hours of insightful and revelatory discussion.

    in Radio

Good Morning and Welcome to the Seriouside of the jrilshow.  Today, we will be discussing the following topics:

ABOVE THE LAW:  In 1988, Steven Segal starred in the hit thriller "ABOVE THE LAW".  Don't focus on the movie, focus on the title
THE LORETTA LYNCH NOMINATION:  It has been a 134 days since Loretta Lynch was nominated for Attorney General, but as usual, the GOP has blocked the nomination.  Why?  Who knows..,but we have a good guess!
THE DEATH PENALTY:  Why are we concerned how a vicious murderer is put to death?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rejects $5 Million Penalty For Failed Drug Test

    in Sports

It's has come to the publics attention that Floyd Mayweather has refused to agree to a $5 million penalty if either fighter were to fail a drug test either before or after the May 2nd fight. Manny Pacquaio is the one who requested for this fine to be included in the contract. The problem is that the contract has already been signed by both parties. However, there is a separate agreement that the United States Anti-Doping Agency will be overseeing random blood and urine testing for both fighters, terms for a substantial fine in the event of a dirty test are still being discussed. If neither fighter have anything to hide, thena agreement shouldn't be hard to come by. Even with that said, it should've been included in the original contract to avoid any outside negotiations.

    GOOGLE OR GOD?

    in Religion

IN THIS FAST-PACED, TECHNOLOGICAL WORLD WE LIVE IN, INFORMATION IS EASY TO FIND. UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE BECOME SO DEPENDENT UPON ELECTRONICS THAT WE ARE ILL-PREPARED FOR THE DAY WHEN TECHNOLOGY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. THE BLESSING AND PRIVILEGE HAS TAKEN A BACK-SEAT TO SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD IN MANY OF OUR LIVES. WE, AS A PEOPLE OF GOD, HAVE FALLEN PREY TO THE VICE OF IDOLATRY, MORE THAN WE REALIZE AND IT'S TIME TO GET BACK ON OUR KNEES. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!

Talking in Circles: Martinsville Review; BIG TIRE PENALTY

    in Sports

On today's episode we talk about a sad anniversary in NASCAR.

After that we'll review the STP 500 @ Martinsville Speedway. Denny Hamlin  gives Toyota their first win since Talladega last season. We need more short tracks. What a fun race. We'll give our attaboy/girls  and our disappointments.

Also, the big story of the week is the P5 penalty for the #31 team for Richard Childress Racing. Crew chief, Luke Lambert has been suspended for six races, and placed on probation through December 31st. Interesting take that Clayton has on this as to what RCR's next move should be; also, is it time to change the way NASCAR penalizes teams in this sport?

And our team report cards. Usually, every break in the season, we give team report cards, and today we'll give ours after the first six weeks.

Qualifying at Talladega has changed, of course, only the 457th change in qualifying. Is this the best way? Is there a better way?

Also, John Harlow from BeyondtheFlag.com will join the show to discuss multiple topics with us; and that's always a treat.
