This week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue, we will discuss personal progression, the re-cap of 2014, and your expectations for 2015.
What grade would you give yourself for personal progression in 2014? Did you achieve some of your goals in 2014? Was 2014 better or worse than 2013 for you?
What do you expect for yourself in 2015? What things are you looking to personally improve on as we embark upon this new year?
This week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue, we are discussing stereotypes: "Men are cheaters, women are emotional, white people have no rythm and can't dance, blacks who use proper english are talking white, asians are smart, black women have attitudes and are more mouthy than women of other races, white women allow black men to run all over them etc."
Do you ever stereotype people? Are there currently any stereotypes that describes you? Where do they come from? How much truth are there to these stereotypes?
Does your child(ren) influence who you date? How much do you consider your child's opinion about who you date? If your child doesn't approve of who you're "considering" getting serious with, do you no longer date that person? At what point do you introduce this person to your child(ren)? Do you have a conversation with your child when considering 'getting serious" with him/her?
"Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive action."
This week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue, we will be discussing the struggles of the Gay civil rights, compared to the struggles of African Americans(Blacks) civil rights. It has been widely debated on whether or not the struggles are the same:
Are they the same because both groups are/were discriminated against?
Are they the same because both are/were fighting for equality?
Are they the same because both are/were protesting for thier rights, due to being oppressed?
Let's talk about it this week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue....."where positive words manifest positive action."

In a time where things change so rapidly and rampantly, I would like to visit the idea of defining what's normal, and what's not normal. Over the course of years, we understand that things change often, so with those changes occuring, do we consider what USED TO BE NORMAL, NO LONGER NORMAL? Are things that are considered to be "Normal", forever changing? Once something "new" becomes normal, does that mean the "old" thing is no longer normal?
Is texting the social norm, over verbally communicating?
Is wearing jeans and sneakers to church a social norm?
Is meeting someone on social media the social norm, over meeting someone in person?
Is same sex marriage the social norm, over marrying the opposite sex?
Is it a social norm for the woman to be the financial provider, and not the man?
Is it a social norm for animal lives to be equally as important as a human's life?
Is it a social norm, for kids to no longer get whippings?
We will talk about these norms and others.
